I shopped around for the right company to design and install our pavers and turf. We did a complete backyard remodel which was a huge investment so looked for value, reviews, warranty and reliability of the reps. We are very happy with the process, the end result and the follow ups checking in to make sure we are happy and there are no issues. I highly recommend them. We look forward to working with them again when we continue the pavers to the front driveway sometime next year. David Weissenberg was our designer and project manager with Cesar as our foreman.

We worked with David Weissenberg to install our pavers, retaining walls, and drainage in our backyard last year and still have no regrets - the pavers and retaining walls look great and we survived the heavy rains this winter with no flooding. David was professional and very responsive during the project.

Black Diamond did a fantastic job on my backyard, I can’t say enough, they were very professional and did exactly what they said. I couldn’t have done this project without Randy Hagin the design specialist. I also want to thank Lucas Perez and his team, you guys are the best.

We are so pleased with the work Brigette and Caesar's hard-working crew did in our backyard. Brigette is a talented designer, and helped us create a beautiful design of pavers around our pool, a large retaining wall and stairs. The project was completed with special design of lights, which didn't work at first, however Caesar's team found the problem, ordered the needed part right away fixing our system to be synced up on a lighting app I can control with my phone. We made some minor adjustments along the way to our plans and the project came to life in our backyard and the entire team at Black Diamond was very flexible and easy to work with. I'd recommend them to a friend and would absolutely have them back for another project sometime.

Black Diamond just finished our backyard, nothing but praise for David Weissenberg and Cesar Arroyo! Finished the project right on schedule and it looks fantastic. We looked at a number of different companies and Black Diamond wasn't the most expensive and wasn't the cheapest. Felt comfortable with David and they'd already completed one other backyard in our neighborhood (it looked good and the neighbor's were happy). David's design was spot on for what we wanted and Cesar executed. A good hardworking crew, nice guys. They gave us a chance to make tweaks as they went - the best part? At one point, pavers weren't lining up the way we envisioned. Cesar and crew listened to what we wanted and made the change, no complaints. The backyard exceeds our expectations. Highly recommend Black Diamond!

David the design specialist came through once more along with Steven Gonzales the coordinator, and last, the ones the did the actual work the foreman Santos (Community Trucking Santos) and his brother did an excellent job with many years to enjoy. Installed great looking turf and quality pavers, Dave came with a plan to turn a challenging small space into something great. Very professional and responsive from the start to end. Cost was clear and up front, we wanted a backyard that was sturdy and a higher caliber than most and Black Diamond delivered. Highly recommend this company for delivering great patio work.

We had an excellent experience with Black Diamond and our designer, Brigette. Brigette led us through the process of updating our dust bowl of a backyard into an absolute oasis. She actively listened to our wants and needs, taking them all into account in her design. We have a puppy who loves to dig and chew, and she helped me to choose all dog-friendly plants for the landscaping! It is so exciting watching the plants grow in—she definitely has the experience and eye for landscape design! The hardscape she designed turned out beautifully—the tones of the pavers, the pattern of the stone, the raised seating wall circling our new tree. I found her to be transparent and innovative—she took the time to explain why an idea may not be the one to go with, and came with additional ideas and creative solutions, which I very much appreciated. Brigette gave thought and care to our future plans as well—allowing for extra drip irrigation tubing at either end of the garden to accommodate our raised vegetable beds, large potted plants and annuals planted around the base of our tree. She is a kind, thoughtful, conscientious person and that shined through in every interaction we had with her. Now we have a stunning, thoughtfully designed outdoor space that allows us to enjoy the beautiful weather here in Sonoma County with our friends and loved ones, and it’s huge peace to our minds that we know it is also a safe space for our puppy. I highly recommend Brigette as landscape and hardscape design at Black Diamond!

Our backyard was in sad shape. Uneven old cement and flagstone pavers that were probably 60 years old. Moles that dug up our backyard and just was not fun to really be in. We wanted to extend our outdoor living space and have an awkward shaped back yard. The drought really did a number on our whole back yard. We sent some inquiries out and saw on Facebook people who were really happy with Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape, so I gave David Weisenburg a call. He came out and helped us plan and design our new backyard! He actually lives not too far from us and would stop by and check in on the project. Our lead installer was Santos and the project manager was Stephen. Santos and his crew demo'd our entire back yard and side yard, prepped it for the pavers and turf to be installed. Santos and his crew were always on time, worked as long as the sun was out and got our entire yard redone in about 2.5 weeks since it was winter time with less sun hours. He turned our ugly unusable yard into a place where my entire family enjoys hanging out and playing safely! We've got an area for basketball, chipping and putting and a place we will enjoy meals and conversations. I would highly recommend this company and specifically Santos for his beautiful workmanship.

We can't say enough positive things about our experience with Black Diamond, and in particular our project design lead Brigette Emmanuel and work foreman Lucas and his crew. Brigette took our ideas, which was initially just the driveway and adjoining stairs, and not only improved it, but her vision completely transformed the front of our home. Brigette and David went over the initial design with a CAD mock up, and was able to make suggestions, and tweak the layout/design on the fly, which really helped. Best of all Brigette was present, coming by often to see the progress, and was always available to answer any questions or concerns. The follow up after completion has also been exceptional. As good as we had hoped the project would come out, it exceeded our expectations!

We worked with Daniel Parden and Oscar Correa for our backyard project, and they honestly deserve 10 stars. Our design specialist, Daniel, mocked up a very nice backyard for us. We got a few retaining walls, pavers, artificial turf, and a beautiful pea gravel and paver walkway. We are very happy about their work and how our backyard turned out. It is beautiful and the workmanship and level of detail was outstanding. Throughout the sales process, Daniel provided honest feedback without trying to upsell us to add more stuff than we wanted to (which is what we dealt with from other landscaping companies). Daniel was very patient, honest, and communicated effectively with us about what needed to get done and the timelines for it. Overall, Black Diamond went above and beyond for the entire project and I'd highly recommend them for any project!

Our extensive project executed by Black Diamond Paver Stones and Landscape entailed paving our driveway, courtyard, front and sides of our house, and creating a large, artistic stone patio in the backyard by the water. The finished product is an amazing transformation of the grounds of our home in Bel Marin Keys. The entire project was overseen by David Weissenberg, VP of Sales. David worked with us closely, particularly in the planning stage of our unique patio, and offered several ideas to perfect our design. He checked in when called upon and randomly to personally inspect the workmanship and progress of the project. Most importantly, his demolition and paving subcontractor, Juan Lopez & Co, was not only professional, competent, and reliable but his stone setters (Pablo, Nelson and Hector in particular) were excellent craftsmen who went the extra nine yards to make sure the end product was a beautiful work of art through their close attention to detail and thoughtful suggestions, all which improved the overall flow and design of the stonework. We are very pleased with our new grounds and would not hesitate to recommend David Weissenberg specifically with Juan Lopez & Co.as his subcontractor to anyone.

I highly recommend Black Diamond! From the start of the process with getting a quote to the final product, everything was handled so professionally. The amazing team who helped us build our dream patio was David Weissenberg (Project Design Specialist), Ingrid (Project Coordinator), and Venturo + his work crew. David is very personable and knowledgeable, and he made sure we were satisfied throughout every step of the project, while Ingrid kept us up-to-date leading up to the start of the project. Venturo and his crew are extremely hard-working and were able to build our massive patio within a week. Their craftsmanship is outstanding; the patio is absolutely gorgeous! Black Diamond also comes with a 27-year warranty, which gives me peace-of-mind knowing that the huge investment I put into the patio will be protected. All in all, Black Diamond is an excellent company to work with because they value their customers and produce high-quality work!

From the start we had a great experience with Daniel Parden, Project Mgr.we told him our vision and he threw in some ideas and the project came out incredible. His crew, managed by Oscar Correa, did an incredible job. They were always early to the site, worked very hard in rough conditions (Heat), and worked as a team to knock out the job early. One small hiccup was due to material being unavailable (turf), but they remedied that and the job got done. This was our first big project and they were very courteous and professional. We will definitely contact Black Diamond for any other projects we have.

Dave and his crew were awesome and did an amazing job. I love my new patio and walkways. I verbally give 5. From day one Dave listened to what i wanted and let me pick the type of pavers i wanted. He sketched out my patio and walkway design right before my eyes. Everyone was very nice and professional. (I highly recommend using them)
So why i actually gave 4. I gave 4 stars because although the work and quality is great! I do agree with other reviewers that they are spread thin therefore taking a really long time to complete a job. I was told 7 days it over 3 wks. I couldn’t been happier with the end results. Thanks Dave

The worst experience. Our initial designer was horrible: never got us a drawing of our project. We started in August 2020, had to have our entire 900 sq ft project REDONE because the grading was improperly done (the pavers looked wavy, they would go up and down instead of being flat). They redid the project in December, but soon after we realized the drains they installed were improperly graded and do not drain properly. We are still waiting for drains to be redone and for pipes that they instaleld to be moved (they were put right through the middle of a planting bed so we cant plant any plants!). Stairs were installed sloppily and have concrete all over them. Would never recommend this company to anyone. They promise the moon and then can't deliver. THey will say this has been a horrible year for them as an excuse for their poor workmanship but financially, they are doing amazing, and their only problem seems to be they take on too many jobs at once and are stretched too thin. The poor workmanship is one thing, but the entire time we were here, concrete was left out right before a rain storm and we had to cover it, we were constantly cleaning up after the crew, boards were left out with big rusty nails pointing straight up on a sidewalk (with our children running around), and fast food garbage was left out. Our neighbors complained. This company should be avoided at all costs. The turnover rate of their employees is ridiculous. You will never work with the same person twice! Doesn't speak well that everyone we liked working with has left the company!

Daniel and the whole Black Diamond team were outstanding throughout our driveway and front yard project. They took the time to listen and work with us from design through the completion of the project. I’d recommend them highly.

Daniel Parden and Eddie were very efficient and skillful. They planned and executed the project from the beginning to end in such a way that they met the timeline as promised. The entire crew was courteous, considerate in keeping us informed with project progress.
The final product validated the excellent quality and workmanship that this team has put into their work.

One of the most disorganized coordinators on earth! I kept calling them inspite of scheduled appointment for an estimate, didn't apologize inspite of being late by one hour. Never bothered to give me my estimate or give a courtesy call. What are they doing in Marin? High Time they left!

We are posting our experience on meeting Gerben van der Werff for an estimate on pavers in our backyard. First, he was prompt, great plus! He was very knowledgeable, informative on selections of pavers and very professional. He shared a lot of great ideas on design as well.
However, we decided on a redwood deck instead (which is now in progress). Once deck is completed, we still need walkways, some areas to be paved and lawn to finish the rest of the backyard at which point we definitely will reach out to Gerben again.
