Black Sugar - Boba Bar reviews
11 Tiny tea shop with a good selection that should have something for just about anyone. You place your order at the kiosk and they call your number when it's ready.
I got the house fruit tea and it was delicious! I already want to go back for another cup.
A cute little boba place. I tried their Taro milk tea with icecream and it was great. Has lots of options. There's very little seating though.
Easily the best boba tea I have ever had. We got the strawberry matcha and the black sugar fresh milk. Prices were reasonable. Would absolutely come back.
Best customer service I have received. I called Black Sugar at 5: 25 to see what time they close and Michael answered the phone. He said that they close at 5 but would be glad to make me a drink. I told him it would take me 30 minutes to get there and he said it was fine and was still willing to make the drinks. When I came in, he greeted me, and was friendly and patient when taking my order. Amazing customer service and the drinks were outstanding! I got the House Fruit Tea with boba (25 percent sweet) and Black Sugar Fresh Milk.
Little to no interaction with staff. Your order via the touch screen and wait for your banner to be called. My only complaint us that there’s no posted menu so you can’t see the choices until you get to the touch screen. My drink was a strawberry lychee green tea with lychee jelly. It was really yummy and decently priced.
I ordered Lychee green tea. I expected it to taste artificial like all the other shops. However, when I took a sip, I choked on the flavor because it tasted just like real Lychee juice that you would slurp out of the fruit. It was definitely refreshing and as you drink get that slight fleshy and a very tiny bitter taste that of a real Lychee. I must say, they should add another
Black Sugar is one of my favorite boba places. My go to is the roasted oolong milk tea with boba, they use Straus creamer so it’s pretty smooth. You can also get a paper cup to be ecofriendly. I get 25% sweet. They also offer fruit teas and other milk teas, would recommend if you’re in the area. Only caveat is I need a bigger cup
As a boba tea addict, I would say they have the best black sugar boba in SF. The quality of tea is phenomenal as well. I’ve tried oolong and jasmine tea, and both are flawless.
Cute cups and freshly brewed tea. The texture of the boba was delicious. The straw broke completely while I was drinking it, so I recommend bringing your own or taking two.
11/10 for the service. Nice little mom and pop shop to pick up boba. They have some drinks I haven’t seen in any other boba shops in SF. And the milk options are exquisite (huge fan of Straus and Califia). I really enjoyed the matcha mango and the strawberry lychee. Super excited to try out the rest of the menu esp the fresh milk section.
They have a small space for standing and waiting for the drink.
Such a good little boba shop! No seating, but they have a standup bar. It’s basically a pick up only shop, but the boba balls were really good, the staff was super friendly, and the drinks were good!
