Wow. This is the best optometry practice I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, thorough explanations of all procedures and imaging and timely in their appointments (though definitely *not* rushing things!). I learned so much from the person who helped me with my eye scans.

Dr. Cheng is amazing. I’ve never had an eye doctor explain to me all the things he did, and I’ve been wearing contacts for nearly 20 years now. Never ever have i been given multiple to try out, or know what to look for regarding what indicates a best fit (and can be adjusted if the script is off). I had always operated on whether they seemed to irritate my eyes and vision improvement, not consistency is vision in addition to comfort. He went through every step of all my tests, explained it with detail but easy to understand, and provided reasons why he recommended certain options. He also sent over all my prescriptions and testing via email already, so those are good to go. What a wonderful experience! If only all doctors could show this level of patient interaction and ensure their understanding.

There is a nice little parking lot adjacent to the building (access from avocado i believe?) and i had no problem finding a spot. Always a worry the first time i go somewhere lol.

Honestly I can see myself coming to this practice as long as I can, even if I moved to a different neighborhood this experience was too fantastic that i have no interest in trying other doctors if i don’t have to (limited by insurance, of course)

Anyway, 100% recommend. Online scheduling is easy. Staff and doctors are the best. And you’ll walk out learning more about your individual eyes, *not* just what they need. You won’t regret giving Blackstone Optometry a shot!

Dr. Simon Cheng was extremely professional and has excellent bedside manner. The front desk folks were also very welcoming and friendly. Would give them 6 stars if I could.

Everyone here is absolutely so warm and welcoming! Went in for a general check-up/updated prescription and was in and out in around an hour. For those concerned about COVID: It is a small office, but it’s very cozy and they have distanced seating so you can safely wait away from others. Lots of hand sanitizer and took my temperature at the door. I don’t plan on going anywhere else but here for my eye care.)

Great, friendly service, and the Dr really took his time to make sure my prescription was correct.

They have very up to date equipment to scan for eye health too, highly recommended!

This is my second visit this year with 2 different doctor they both had the same approach and made me feel at ease. They took their time to diagnostic find a treatment and explain the protocol to follow.

I have been going to Dr. Simon Cheng and team Blackstone Optometry for more than a decade. In that time, I've had three different medical doctors and four different dentists. And yet my loyalty to Blackstone Optometry has not wained. The reason is simple, they know what they are doing and they do it with expert precision. No matter how busy they are, they find time for you. They truly care about your visual health and continually follow up with you to see you are focused on the same.

I recently changed jobs and was being considered for government work. I needed a certified vision test and new glasses prior to a medical assessment as a condition of employment. I literally had a window of a few days to get this done AND it was over the Thanksgiving holiday period. The crew at Blackstone Optometry moved mountains to fit me in and get me those glasses. There was a question of accuracy that came up during my the assessment which normally would have removed me from employment consideration. I advised Dr. Simon Cheng of this and he took it upon himself to draft a response complete with documentation to prove my eyes were healthy and forwarded this information on to the relevant parties.

They had to have been impressed because they quickly reversed their decision and, as a result, I passed my medical evaluation completely. It is this type of personal attention that sets Blackstone Optometry above the rest. I can never thank the crew at Blackstone enough. I can only thank them with every fiber of my being. And this is what I hereby do.

Super friendly, and knowledgeable staff. There's plenty of hand sanitizer, although they aren't taking temperatures, and the space is pretty tight. (I didn't mind though.)

They have a cool machine that takes pictures of your retina - and they'll email it to you! So neat.

Dr. Stella is great, and talked through my prescription options and some details about Lasik!

I'm glad I found this place, I highly recommend for some solid eye care.

These guys are the best. They have a good selection of frames. The optometrist definitely knows what she is doing. I would definitely use their services again!
