Blackwood is an excellent Thai-Western fusion place with great drinks. I'd recommend samosas with your meal, they're just delicious. The Thai Shakshuka is great too (according to a party member). 9.7/10 just great

Good Thai food. Quantity of food is a lot. We ordered spring roll, penang Thai curry and pad Thai. Everything was delicious and didn’t feel too oily.

Such a treat to dine at this wonderful restaurant! The food was fresh, delicious, artfully presented and the servings were abundant. Our group had the Blackwood Pork and Halibut and the Marina Treasure, which was on a Split pineapple and almost too beautiful to eat. I also had the Mermaid cocktail, which was a piece of art and tasted amazing too. Quite telling was the many folks who appeared to be from the neighborhood who were enjoying this terrific restaurant too! We will definitely return when we are in SF again.

Hear me out get the bacon. That's all that needs to be said.

Everything else is pretty good brunch food but that bacon is something else.

This was a rec from our friend who lives in SF. My MIL had the red curry which was fantastic. I had the pad thai and it was pretty good. My husband had the burger and it was great other than being super soggy. The fries were some of the best I've had. If I were to return I would get the curry!

Had the pork belly over curry rice and it was very good.

Had dinner with my dad and he ordered the Ahi salad which I had some of as well, also good.edit:

Gotta knock it down to 4 stars after having the driest chicken in a curry known to man. Sauce was good, veggies were good, but the chicken. Tasted like it was cooked with neutral seasoning (i.e. Not in the curry sauce) and cut/pulled a day before it was served, which is fine for a salad or a sandwich but not so much a curry.

The ahi sushi roll appetizer thing that came in the spoons was absolutely delicious however.

Food wasn’t all that great. The bacon is so soggy I felt like I was eating it raw. Food menu is almost too overwhelming for brunch. I wish they focused on a few great tasting options rather than having 100 different options. Service was extremely slow. We ordered drinks about 30 mins before food and the food came out first. Very annoying and we felt rushed to get out.

First time here. It had a nice relaxing atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly. I wasn't sure what kind of food we were getting when we walked in; but the decor drew me in. I really liked the menu, which was Thai American fusion. We ordered several dishes to share, which everyone enjoyed. Others in the party had the melon mule and the little mermaid which they really liked.

I will try the drinks next time I'm there.

The food here is delicious. Cooked well and very flavorful. The service is great too. Highly recommend. Will be returning!

The food is really delicious here and they have an excellent menu selection. Their prices are reasonable and the people are real nice too.

My friends brought me here for brunch. It was busy, but we were able to get a table around 11 am. An interesting concept of a restaurant - Thai fusion with brunch, but I loved it. I ordered the crispy french toast with the side of two sunny side eggs and millionaire bacon. Everything came out amazing. The French toast was a perfect crunch, fluffy bread and the fruit and syrup brought in the sweetness. Add a piece of bacon or egg, boom you got your sweet and savory combo. It was a lot to eat, but I did it. The coffee was okay, but still did the trick. The service was wonderful. Very attentive, checking in on us and getting everything we needed in an efficient manner. Definitely will be back on a future trip.

Food was stale, seemed like the shrimp was stale and they fried a day old meat. Servers seemed unapologetic about quality of food.

We got the samosas as an appetizer, the ‘crusty’ french toast complete meal, and the stone pot or plate, which is good for 3 or 4 ppl to share. It was hot and still cooking as it came out
We got2 of the cocktails the mojito and the ‘ mermaid’it complemented our food well
Definitely recommend for a girls day out or celebrating something
Will definitely return to try the burgers

Absolutely fantastic food. It was our last night in the US before travelling back to the UK. The food was fantastic and the offerings were enormous. The staff were polite and very efficient. Would recommend.

Yum! The smoked cashew Thai entree was yumscious. The menu has a wide variety of options, perfect for families or groups who have varying tastes. Update - Went back yesterday for dinner and it was so tasty. Update June 23, I just had my 6th meal and it was just wonderful. Smoky Cashew again. Cooper gives Blackwood 5 Wags. Great place to hang out after a run on the beach.

I did not expect any since this type of food is fusion oriented. Better not compare the taste of their food to other authentic thai dishes It is always up to each person’s flavor and choice.

Ordered Thai Shashuka and Angus beef noodle soup for brunch. The Thai shashuka taste nothing like Thai food and it’s so blend. The noodle came out over cooked and our bacon millionaire which was supposed to be a starter came out the same time as our mains. It might be that they are understaffed but their service is bad and inconsistent. Forks and knives are dirty but the beer is alright…. I have no idea how this place is so highly rated. I would definitely not recommend this place.

The food is pretty great here and the service is top notch. I highly recommend trying them out and it's a great place for the whole family too.

Blackwood is American-Thai fusion on Chestnut st. You can choose to sit inside or outside.

The decor is clean and spacious. The menu includes good ol’ Thai to kids menu burgers. That’s a good idea because, the green curry I ordered, while very tasty, but packs a punch.

The service was prompt and polite. Very clean restrooms. You can find parking on side streets, and the streets are lively.

There was a few minutes wait to be seated. The waiter was observant and attentive once seated.
I love the variety of dishes to choose from on the menu, incorporating Asian fusion.
I would come back again.
