Blaze Pizza, Encinitas CA

Blaze was good when they first opened but they've rapidly gone downhill as they've changed up their menu. They're just another fast food chain now.

The lady immediately had a frown, was aggressive and unfriendly. She didn’t care about her job or the customers and gave a bad name to Hispanic culture and people. This saddens me. I asked for light salt, she drenched it with so much salt that I couldn’t taste the rest of the ingredients. I asked for mushrooms and chicken and omg there was only 4 pieces of chicken in all of my pizza and she scraped the last crumbs of the mushroom. The whole time she was grumpy and kept on speaking to colleagues and on her phone. I feel bad for the owner of this chain. She really is making the business look bad.

I’ve placed my order online and I showed up around the suggested pick up time. Store was a disaster with so many angry people waiting for their orders. Mine was ready roughly 45 late

Placed an order online. Went to the store to pick it up. Stood around waiting for an hour. Finally asked them where my pizza was, and they told me “sorry, we are closing (2 hrs) early” and gave me a refund but no pizza! What a waste of my time. The only thing "blazed" about this place is the kids that are working here. If I could give 0 stars, I would. No customer should ever be treated like this.

Edit/reply to the owner: There was NOTHING amazing about my experience, so please don't try to minimize my experience with your phrasing. My experience was "100% awful". There is absolutely nothing amazing about ordering a pizza, waiting an hour, and then receiving a refund when the "blazed" employees close the store two hours early.

Went on pi day, 3.14. Great crew making pizza for the masses. Update from 5/25: Got an 11" for 5$ in App. Sign up!

Ordered delivery because we were having a crazy busy day and were very hungry. Wrong order was delivered, food we don’t eat and Blaze Pizza doesn’t answer there phone, added chaos to chaos, ended up driving to the restaurant and having to wait for the food to be re-prepared, got home and it still was not correct.

I’ve had Blaze before and enjoyed it, so decided to order take-out for myself due to sick kids at home and my spouse traveling. The Keto crust looked good in pictures online, but my crust was completely black and burnt around the edges when I received it.

I ordered via Postmates, so while my pizza was delivered completely cold, I do not know if that is a result of Blaze or the PM driver. I placed an order at 4 PM and specified via the app that I wanted a 5: 30-6 scheduled delivery, however on the receipt attached to the box I could see that the pizza was made/boxed around 4: 30. So I’m assuming it unfortunately sat for approximately an hour or so before the driver picked it up, and based on how cold it was, I don’t think it sat under warmers or in a hot bag.

The pizza box was also not sealed or bagged, which the vast majority of restaurants seem to do now for deliveries. All in all, it was a bit disappointing.

So we love this pizza but had a bad experience the last time we went.

They close at 9 but that night they closed at 7.rushing us to eat our pizza while cleaning all around us and putting chairs up on tables. The manager claimed they weren't fully staffed, yet I counted 5 workers so he said they had to close early.
Very disappointed in the customer service but we will be back.

I just had it tonight and they have changed. The crust was burned. Too much soggy tomato sauce and the ingredients were not of good quality. Not going here any longer.

Everyone was super friendly, even though I was indecisive and couldn't decide what I wanted. I ended up getting the Buffalo Bacon Chicken pizza. It was so good. Can't wait to go back!

I ordered 4 pizzas and when I came to pick them up only 3 were ready. Short story – it got busy and it took him 20 more minutes for the 4th pizza. Needless to say it was cold, which would have been a big problem if the pizza was not overcooked initially. They skimped on everything! Very little sauce, cheese, vegetables and overcooked and cold. This is the 2nd time I've been here and while the pizza was better the 1st time, not enough to come back! There are so many other better Pizza out there!

I am sorry to say 1 star. I like their pizza and people but requiring me to download an app to order a pizza when I am standing in the restaurant is too much of an obstacle to order
