4Staff does not properly accommodate people with allergies. Would not Recommend.
I think they have the best sushi in Lamorinda. Also it is nice inside.
Consistently fantastic food, atmosphere, and staff, whether you choose to eat in-person or pickup your meal.
My family has been going here for 5+ years and it's part of the regular rotation. The appetizers, meals, and sushi selections are all delicious. No idea why previous commenters would complain about a fish smell in a fish-based cuisine establishment.
Fiancé and I came here on a whim. It's a really cute little place and the employees were so friendly and sweet. Unfortunately it smelled extremely fishy upon entry- and not in a good way. Fiancé got the seafood ramen and said it tasted very off, like bad sea water, and also a bit like ammonia, which is a sign of bad fish (tends to naturally take on this taste when it has expired). He ended up having food poisoning all night into the next day.
We really wanted to love this place, but perhaps there needs to be a new system for the incoming seafood ingredients. Probably need to make some freshness adjustments if customers are getting sick.
Though we love supporting local businesses, this was a red flag for contaminants, although the grilled rice balls were delicious. We will be steering clear for now. Maybe it was just a bad day for fish.
