My first time here, my experience was so amazing! I needed my hair done at the last minute for my birthday, and they were amazing. They got me in same day and I now have a new amazing place! Ryan made me feel beautiful again! Everyone is awesome and they all do a beautiful job, love this place!

Had an appointment but the stylist had quit. No notification or chance to schedule with someone else. And when I complained all I got was “sorry bout that”

I got my haircut just today by Erika and she did a great job! I wanted a short bob with layers and it came out super well! I’ve gotten this haircut a few times before from different people every time because no one does it exactly how I’d like it but Erika really nailed! I’m definitely coming back and requesting her!

Could this have been the best haircut and beard trim I've ever gotten? Who knows and how do I even judge that sort of thing? Bluebird has some talented people working there making the wait and the parking situation worth it.

Easy to book and very experienced staff! Clean, wonderful, professional. I love this place and its super cute.the only thing is that one time I went for a hair cut and asked for a few things, like a little bit of layers and face framing, and the hair dresser did not honor it.she cut my hair how she wanted to instead of listening to how I like my hair cut.it was a bit odd. I have had great experiences in regards to receiving coloring services though!

Evan is my hairstylist and he is fantastic! I have been to three other salons and they either do an okay job or want to charge me a ridiculous amount. Evan is super talented and he knows how I like my hair. I hope he stays here because he is the main reason I keep coming back to y'all. Keep up the great work.

I love my haircuts from Brit. She’s so talented at what she does. My hair always looks terrific after no touch ups needed and she’s so fun to talk with. The environment of bluebird is very cute professional and relaxing. As a new mom the time I get to sit back and get a fresh cut and wash is the best! Super grateful for Brit and bluebird!

Kristen Anderson performed a hair saving color correction. Other salons in downtown SLO failed and I was giving up hope until Kristen!

The other members of the salon were friendly and made everything very easy to book, change appointments, and overall just great service.

I get blow outs every week at this beautiful, friendly, and clean salon. I’ve had services from many of the stylists and I’ve always left feeling spectacular.

I contracted with Bluebird Salon for my wedding this past weekend. There is a high turnover in this salon which causes communication to be delayed. The initial hair stylist assigned completed my hair trial for my engagement photos. My hair did not even slightly resemble my inspiration photos. One month before my wedding that stylist became unavailable and I was assigned to another stylist who works at a different salon. The new stylist did my hair trial the day before my wedding and I was happy with the style. However, on the day of the wedding she forgot her curling iron and straightener, causing my brother-in-law to have to drive an hour round-trip to bring us the hair tools. We had hired the stylist to style hair for six of us. Five of us, myself included, had to restyle our hair after the stylist left because the curls were either falling flat, our curls were frizzy and undefined, or the stylist did something different than we had asked. I was very disappointed with the service received.

I got the cutest haircut from Dakotah! I was at such an awkward hair length and she really fixed it up, I feel so much better! She is also so sweet! Thanks so much!

Stevie is the best colorist. I've been her client since my college years - and she hands down does the best job. 10/10 recommendation - especially if you're a blonde!

The one time I've been to BlueBird earlier this year I was very happy with how my hair turned out, so this review is not in regards to the services they offer, but in regards to their customer service over the phone. A few days ago when I was trying to schedule an appointment for a future coloring job, the receptionist I spoke to on the phone was so off-putting and rude I am honestly turned off from ever coming back to this salon. I don't mind spending a pretty penny on my hair, but I'm not going to support a salon when a quarrelsome scheduler makes you feel uncomfortable and that you're wasting their time for simply trying to make an appointment and asking questions like who she'd recommend for hair coloring services (since the girl I originally saw, Paige, no longer is working there). With the other great salons in the area, I will be taking my business elsewhere where there's no need to deal with the sass & pretentiousness.

Leah is a wonderful stylist. She really understands my hair and my ultimate goal and is great at helping me stay the course. She has a great aesthetic and ability to look at what is realistic and what will look good. I appreciate that. Part of what I want from a professional stylist is guidance. I've been to stylists who will just do whatever I ask and not point me in the direction of what will work and give me the outcome I want. I think one of Leah's strengths is her ability to do just that. I moved to the area recently and am super grateful that I found her!

I had Leah, and she has cut my hair twice now and she is SO AMAZING and such a fun person. I will for sure keep going back to her:) and everyone else at Bluebird is so nice, and the place itself is so clean and nice. I would absolutely send anyone I know to get a haircut here.:)
