My elderly dog had a a stroke and was in the emergency room for two nights. The staff was very helpful giving realistic information. My dog pulled through and was able to go home. The Vet spent over an hour with us on care instructions and answered all our questions.

This is a very challenging experience with our German shepherd and BluePearl has been helping us through. We appreciate their professionalism and care. Dr. Hauss has been wonderful. She has taken the time to listen and guide us through this and we are very thankful.

My pup had emergency surgery there because she had a complete blockage. The surgeon and care at the hospital were excellent. But the instructions I left with were minimal at best and in particular it was very difficult to hear from the nutritionist what to feed her after the surgery. This caused my dog unnecessary suffering and was disappointing. That being said she has now fully healed and I’d take her back there again in an emergency situation.

Blue pearl is our go to vet specialists center. We have brought our wonderful golden here to see Dr. Gassel and he is wonderful at showing how much he cares for the animals but also you as the parent/owner. We also have seen the cardiologist Dr. Miller and she is wonderful as well. Helped keep us as ease when our pup was also subject to going through ECHOs and Holter monitors.

From start to finish we love the staff and people we deal with while we are there. It’s not always easy to bring your dog in but Blue Pearl has helped make it as stress free as possible.

I will forever be thankful for the staff at BluePearl. Brownie my 8 yo lab mix was diagnosed with cancer and the masses were quickly growing. I reached out to 10 clinics minimum and no appointments available or call backs to see him. Dr Hauss took him in and is been under her care and he is doing so good. He is waiting on his last treatment of chemotherapy. Thank you to all the oncology team at BluePearl. You all amazing!

The staff were attentive and friendly. I just wish 3 things:
1. Allowed me to see my baby get examined or treated rather than just waiting for 2 hours wondering what’s happening.
2. Apply my insurance there rather than paying upfront.
3. Move a little faster. We were the only patient there at 10 pm on a Sunday night and we had to be at work the following morning. Don’t understand why it took so long to treat diarrhea. Maybe if they let us see what’s going on in the exam room we’ll understand.
Other than that, they cured my little girl and I’m just thankful.

We are grateful for the expert care our Frenchie received at Blue Pearl. It’s hard to find words to thank Dr. Berry for saving our Frenchie’s life. That’s exactly what he did. He saved her.
Dr. Berry performed surgery to repair several ruptured disc. She’s completely back to her former ornery self, trotting off to harass her Frenchie brother into extreme play.
Thank you, Dr. Berry and the team at Blue Pearl

How could this place have only a 3.6 rating? I can't imagine giving it anything less than 5. I have giant breed dogs, and if you know anything about them, you know that it is pretty much guaranteed that you're going to have major problems at some point or another. I've had to take my dogs to this facility for many years, since back when it was SCVSH, for a variety of reasons (lots of orthopedic issues, one with a really weird systemic/digestive issue, and now another one who ate something he shouldn't). Even after losing two dogs in the past who were or had been under their care, I have nothing bad to say about this place, they sincerely did all they could. I've found this place to be the most inviting, the most friendly, the most thorough, and the most trustworthy vet hospital all of Southern California. I have to drive from Perris to Irvine, it's at least an hour if I'm lucky. Every time I've chosen distance convenience over going to Irvine to Blue Pearl, I have regretted it. Every time. It happened again this past week (I chose distance/convenience instead of going straight to Blue Pearl), and after the absolute circus I have been through elsewhere this past week (at three separate locations), with horrible standards of care elsewhere, with really awful, unfriendly staff elsewhere, with people releasing a dog to me who wasn't okay at the time, with people trying to force a major surgery on my dog that he didn't need elsewhere. I am SO thankful and grateful, and we are all so blessed to have the option to take our dogs to Blue Pearl. Thank God we took one more hail Mary and went a bit further down the freeways to Blue Pearl. I will NEVER again take my dogs anywhere else if they need any care whatsoever above and beyond what my regular vet can provide. What I've really learned is that having a team of several specialists in each area of expertise who can put their heads together for you, and all of the best and most up-to-date procedures available to you - your pet needs that, deserves that - and you can't get that from anywhere else. My only reservation in writing this review is that more people will go to them and they'll be more impacted and it'll be harder to get in with them. But there is zero doubt that if I ever need anything else again for my pets, I have learned my lesson, I will never take them anywhere else but Blue Pearl.

They killed my dog, then instead of taking responsibility, tried to blame it on him. I will never stop telling people what a horrible place BluePearl is, ESPECIALLY their internal medicine department. Their attitude was "He's just a dog. " That was said directly to my face. I have no monetary recourse or I would have sued their internal medicine specialist a long, long time ago. So take all of this how you will, but I urge you to not risk your baby's life with these incredibly callous people. Thank you for your time.

It was our first time here at this location. Our three year old Terrier/German Shepherd mix Luke had severe vomiting, lethargy, and overall just wasn't doing well. As panicked dog parent's we quickly gave BluePearl a call. The receptionist was extremely polite and caring in regards to the situation with Luke. We arrived and was greeted promptly by the staff. The team was fantastic, we have no complaints whatsoever. They provided exceptional care, by doing x-rays and blood work. The Dr on staff was Dr. Brenner. He was very knowledgeable, answered all our concerns, and sent us home with medication/recovery treatment. We recommend this emergency facility to anyone in need for their pets emergencies. If we ever have an emergency again we will be definitely be coming here. 10/10. Thank you guys so much!

Dr Zide LOL I waited to get the ESTIMATE to give my thoughts first I will start with I wish people the best of luck here my lil guy has had 4 biopsies even here at blue pearl Dr Zide said it wasn't cancer or a tumor (which I am very happy) but still was interested in having it removed or reduced in size due to the area first want to say they only tried steroids then jumped to surgery Dr Zide's lack of confidence worried me to top it off $6400.00 low price and $8400.00 higher if she can't do it right and has to give him a plastic piece that's INSANE I will definitely be looking elsewhere my husband's arm surgery was $7200 without insurance OMG breast augmentation is less or same lol plus everytime my lil guy came out of the back room he smelled so bad I had to get him groomed
GOOD LUCK fellow consumers

Our frenchie was crying in pain. His vet already had the X-ray from the Dec and suggested going to the neurologist. That night he was crying non stop in pain! We got maybe 3 hours of sleep total. The specialist was able to see him 3/2 first thing in the morning. The car ride was fine but as soon as we go in there he was crying non stop again. The vets were so amazing at Blue Pearl Vet in Irvine. They saw he was in pain and rushed him back immediately. They ended up doing an MRI and finding out he had a ruptured disk. They suggested doing immediate back surgery while he was still under anesthesia. During back surgery, they did preventative surgery for seven of his disks and they found out that the ruptured disc caused a puncture in one of his two blood vessels. Dukes, amazing surgeon, Dr. Barry has been a godsend. He was able to stop the bleeding repair around the ruptured disc and take the preventative steps for the next seven disks. He explained everything in detail to us and was able to break it down where we could understand. This video is from this morning and it’s doctors day off, but he still wanted to check on Duke and gave us a call to keep us informed. Duke needs to keep some food down still. But he’s looking really good. We might be able to pick him up tomorrow instead of Sunday as it was scheduled. Continued prayers are needed that his back heals correctly and that he can keep food down today. Minimum 6 week process of kennel only for our little man. Which means he’s going to be at the office with me!
