Sat on the patio and enjoyed the “award winning” clam chowder. That was delicious as was the shrimp cocktail appetizer. Wasn’t super impressed with the grits, but everything else was great!

Enjoy fresh seafood overlooking the marina. Generous portions at a reasonable price. Best of all, no corkage fee!

Not a good experience, I ordered fish tacos and it was only 2 tacos with plain rice, first time seeing that and there was no flavor. My husband ordered fish and chips and it was only 2 small pieces of fried fish with a bunch of fries. Definitely not going back

Great ambiance by the water, good food with excellent service, a typical south Californian way to enjoy life.

It’s ok. Food ok. Service ok. On Newport marina but boats blocks the view and gas fumes prevalent.

Had a great dinner here with great service. Finished with a shared piece of great key lime pie.

The ceviche and crab cakes are so good that they'll make you want to do the cha-cha-cha with your taste buds. And don't even get me started on the mimosas - they're like a party in your mouth! The service is top-notch, and the views of the docks are so stunning that you'll forget all about your pesky ex who said they didn't like seafood. The talipa is so delicious that it'll make you want to propose to it, and the calamari is so wonderful that you'll want to invite it to your next family reunion.

But be warned - Restaurant Impossible needs to stake this place out! The servers are having so much fun chatting with the girls at the hostess station that you might have to pour your own drink at the bar. But hey, that just means you can make it as strong as you want, right? Bluewater Grill is a fantastic spot for appetizers and drinks, especially if you can snag a review on the patio. So come on down and indulge in some seafood that's so good, it'll make you want to do the hokey-pokey and turn yourself around.

Celebration of our Mom's birthday and the food was great. Service was slowish. 1 of the patrons didn't liked that we sang HBD for our Mom.

The fish item was not describe correctly, so we had to send it back. THe asparagus.was disgusting looking. It was skinny and droopy.

Sat outside near the boats. Great location, Although when I asked to be moved out of The full sun to a table in the shade, (which many were available) we were not accommodated. We asked if the umbrella could be repositioned and were told no.very disappointing. We left without ordering an entrée our appetizer was excellent.

Right on the water! Amazing service. Had the scallop dinner, the clam dip and my taste palate was delightfully thanking me with every bite. I ordered a Sangria and topped it all with coffee and a piece of Key Lime pie. Highly, highly recommend it.

Food was good but not what we have experienced in the past. Service was spotty. Great at times, and lacking at others. But we love the atmosphere, and will be back again. Bluewater Grill has special family memories for us.

Our dinner at Blue water Grill was excellent! Everyone was happy with their order. Our little one loves salmon so I shared the Norway salmon and he got fries. He said it was the best salmon he has ever eaten. Our waiter was personable, our service excellent, and atmosphere great. Get the clam chowder! We will dine here again! So good!?

This is a great place, amazing atmosphere, lots of great seafood and it's not a stuffy environment, it's laid back, really nice.

The New England Clam Chowder was excellent! The Crab Cakes were great, too! The service and setting was terrific. Can't wait to go back.

Good Food! This place never disappoints. We stop here when in Newport Beach. Clam chowder is great! Halibut and black cod are fantastic attic. They are always busy. Staff is friendly and efficient. We’ve always had a good experience here.

Love this old fashioned cute warm little restaurant by the water. Attentive service, delicious food, and a great place to catch up with a couple of old friends.

Online said they do parking validation. However, that wasn't an option, Valet parking is $6, and we had to walk further to the valet stand than we would have had to get to the car.

I took my parents from England for their anniversary, we hadn't made a reservation but they did sit us immediately. Our server (Riley) was friendly and helpful when asking questions and making recommendations for us.

The crab cake appetizer was good (you get 2 small crabcakes per serving) the food presentation is good but unfortunately, this is where the good review stops, the fish and chips was not good, the oil was clearly too hot for frying as the beer batter hadn't fully cooked on the inside and was over done on the outside, the fries were also overdone so hard and crunchy. The Butterfish cod was cooked very well. However, the coconut rice it is served with didn't taste of anything, and the remaining dish wasn't even seasoned. The miso glaze had some flavor but was a very runny consistency almost watered down. The swordfish was the best of the three.

Service was extremely rushed. We hadn't even finished the appetizers before they sent out the mains. The server practically threw down the plates and then started clearing plates without asking before all of us had finished our meal.

Overall, it's fine for a quick meal and if you don't mind being rushed. The quality is okay, but not worth the prices they charge.
