I did a review the other day but I guess it was deleted so here I am again. On October 18th 2023 I ordered the sub o tuna. I went home and unwrapped my sandwich only to find a long string of black hair in my sandwich. I was totally disgusted. I pulled on it to make sure I was actually seeing hair and yes, a long string of black hair in my sandwich. I immediately went back to return my sandwich. I was issued a refund for both sandwiches, no problem. However, as I scanned the kitchen to see how this could've happened I noticed that all the men in the kitchen had short hair and hats on but the young lady packaging the sandwiches had long hair with no hat or hair net. It was obvious to me that that's how the hair got in my food. It was shocking to see that the manager took no initiative to figure out how this happened. Instead he ignored and the young lady remained in the kitchen packing other people sandwiches with no hair net on. I don't think this was the first time but hopefully it will be the last. As good as there sandwiches are I will not be back. I can't help but think what if I had bitten into the sandwich. I would have thrown up. I bringing this to yall attention because I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else. Hair nets should be mandatory even for the the cooks because hats don't always do the job. Please check your food before eating it. And if my post is gone tomorrow, I will be back to repost everyday until the issue is addressed. The fact that it was deleted in the first place instead of addressing the issue is sad.and means this is likely to happen again.

It could not have been mine since i had just unwrapped the sandwich, i always wear bandanas and i have short curly hair. Anyways, I was extremely digusted. I pulled on the piece of hair to make sure I was seeing correctly and yes, a long string of hair. I could not help but think, what if i had not seen it and bit into my sandwich.i would have thrown up. I immediately went back to ask for a refund for both sandwiches and informed them that I found hair in my food. They issued me a refund no problem, however as I scanned the kitchen I noticed that all the men cooking had short hair and hats on. Aside from them their was a young lady packaging the sandwiches with long hair and no hat or hair net. It was a given that that's how the hair got in my food. Although the customer service was good, it was bothersome to see the manager take no initiative to investigate the situation and figure out how that could have happened. The young lady remained in the kitchen and continued to pack other people sandwiches with nothing covering her hair. More than likely this wasn't the first time but hopefully after this review it will be the last. There food is delicious but after this experience I will not be back. Hair must be mandatory for everyone and hats don't always do the job. Please do better.

Good food, small place and bathrooms are out back so you need to go outside and walk to the back. Fast food place

Kinda bad service. I sat at the bar for 30 minutes and the bartender ignored me the whole time. Never offered me a drink once had to leave

Great spot! The sandwiches here are very good. Plenty of food compared to fast food. They have friendly staff and are quick to get the food out. Try the Club with their sweet sauce. Delicious.

Best sandwiches around bar none. Prices are reasonable too. We all love the squaw bread. Other brands are available to like the sourdough and regular seeded breads. Lots of well-thought-out sandwiches are on the menu. Their house sauce is just great. You have to try it.

A little less atmospheric than other locations but has all the great sandwiches and a rotating selection of beer.

Order ahead if it's peak time to beat the rush.

Good but not great! In order to earn the five star review, the bread must be outstanding, meats must be of the highest quality or tasty and the spread must stand out. I ordered the turkey club and although it was good, it was not great. The bread did not stand out, meat was somewhat skimpy and I do not remember the spread. People in my family love this place but I have had much better. Hell, put some more turkey and bacon on the sandwich and we might have flirted with the idea of 5 stars. That in itself might have made the bread taste better and me remember the spread. Perhaps I should have drank several brews and that would have had a better outcome for the sandwich. My visit to Board & Brew in Oceanside was good. Don't know if they have the formula to be great. We will have to visit again to find out.

This was my first time in a Board & Brew. I came in about fifteen minutes before closing and was greeted by Noah. He was extremely nice and helpful as I had a slew of questions on how they make the sandwiches, etc. The sandwich which was ridiculously homemade delicious was brought out by Primo. And he and Jorge looked to see if I liked it and turn then I was eating a few minutes after closing and Izzy who was cleaning didn't make me feel rushed and in fact we started talking and they all make me want to come back! I highly recommend this place from the food to the service to the cleanliness!

Sat outside on a lovely spring day with an ice cold beer and my namesake sandwich, the Tom's Choice. And boy was it ever! Great choice by me, Tom. Bread was super fresh as were all the contents of this delicious sandwich. Can't go wrong with an Alesmith 394 either. By the way, I don't know what is in that sauce they include on the side, but it was fantastic!

Love board and brew, but twice now I've gone at dinner time and this location has been out of bread? Just seems odd to me that a sandwich shop would run out of bread before dinner time. Probably won't go back to this location due to the inconsistency with being able to order.

Simple sandwhich shop. Nothing special about it. I will be back to sample more of the sandwiches.

Good portions and prices. Tuna sandwich was good but too much lettuce even when we ask easy on it. Good flavors and the turkado is very well prepared. The sauce is delicious

The sandwich I had was great and the "secret sauce" is also very good. I went for lunch so I didn't try a beer, but overall the quality of food and service was great.

Great sandwiches.the only ones I consider worthy of dinner! I like the convenience of this location, though I like the Carldbad location even better with its outdoor seating. The indoor seating is alright, but a bit noisy with overhead music and at times when it's busy.

This place is amazing! They have solid vegetarian options! Great prices and the sandwiches are big! Solid hot sauce too!

I have tried this sandwich shop three times and I guess I don’t get it. People rave about the sandwiches, but everything is mediocre at best. The sandwiches are big and fresh, but absolutely not worth the price. Tuna was okay, on the sweet side. Baja beef sandwich was chewy (had to spit a lot of it out). Turkado was uneventful. Save your $37 (price for two sandwiches, two drinks, and a bag of chips) and go elsewhere. Not worth the money.

Food was delicious and very filling. Staff was welcoming and the vibe was very nice. I have the Turkado (I think that’s what it’s called) and it was good.
