Boba Joy Tea Shop, Placentia CA

Love this place, very nice and answered all our questions. The boba is very good not too mushy. The drinks were phenomenal.

It was my first time ordering a drink over here. The taste of golden pineapple green tea was pretty good! The shop is very spacious and comfy. It even has a small library by the corner.

Best boba tea HANDS DOWN! Was passing through Placentia while visiting my family. Starbucks screwed up my order and I saw this place in the parking lot and thought I’d stop in. Blown away. I had a Peach green tea with cheese foam and honey boba less ice. They blended peaches with the jasmine green tea. It smelled like flowers and peaches. And tasted even better it little bits of peach in it. My new favorite boba place.
In terms of atmosphere, the place is super clean…it’s only been open for 4 months. Will be bringing my nephew back here as he is a total foodie and will totally be into this place. Oh, I also had the stuffed waffles which were very good, but the star of the show is the boba tea. Also, it did take a while for them to make the drink because there were like 10 drinks before mine.

Glad to see a local business thriving post-pandemic. The cheese foam and boba drinks are great! And they have the little fish pastries filled with your favorite sweets (Nutella, custard, red bean, etc.)

Very conveniently located in the Ralph’s plaza next to a Vietnamese / Thai restaurant. It’s the perfect location for locals!

Great new place in our local little plaza. I love the peach tea and my husband gets the strawberry matcha. They also have a soy milk option which is super helpful

First of all I’m so glad that I found this place which close to me. We had golden pineapple tea and matcha milk tea. And they recommended 50% sugar and it was still sweet but taste perfect. Reasonable price and very helpful when you order. Will come back for taiyaki

Boba Joy, tucked away in a cozy shopping center of Placentia, is a delightful boba shop offering an array of exquisitely crafted beverages. I ordered the Lemon Green Tea, which provided a refreshing blend of tart citrus and earthy green tea, especially on a hot day in california. My friend opted for the Mango Matcha Milk tea wich was sweet and full of great flavors. The expertly cooked boba pearls in both drinks added a delightful chewy texture. I found the honey boba was better for fruity green tea drinks as it added a nice floral flavor, while the brown sugar boba added a rich sweetness to the milk based drinks. Their friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere made our experience even more enjoyable. Boba Joy is a must-visit destination for boba tea enthusiasts and those seeking respite in a cozy corner.

Drinks were excellent. My kids and my wife loved their drinks. We will be coming back again. You can taste the quality.

but this is the second time i asked for light ice and more than half of my cup is full of ice…
they just recently opened so hopefully they’ll improve on managing customizations.

Great, friendly service, everything screams quality from the drink itself to the cup and lid, surprisingly good prices considering how good the drinks are.

Great atmosphere, a lot of seating, friendly staff. I got a Taro Tornado and it had a good taro flavor. I also got brown sugar boba with it and it was cooked just right, not too firm or squishy.
