A must visit if you like ghost towns. Easy access via a dirt road even without 4 wheel or high clearance.

Great opportunity to see an old gold rush town. Well worth the time to walk up and down the town's roads and enjoy history. Wonderful time.

Awesome place to come visit. They charge $8 per adult in a car. Children are $5 and military gets in free. Plenty of parking spaces. Approximately 3 miles of a dirt/gravel road before entering with plenty of beautiful scenery.

Inside the park there are plenty of historic buildings to walk around through and look at. Several buildings you can enter into. There is a video in one building offering information on the park.

There is a gift shop with several items available to purchase. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re nearby!

This place takes you back in time. It was a fun family event.
It is not for the mobile impaired. It is a long walk.

Super beautiful and surreal place to go! Everything is in a state of arrested decay and you can look through the windows and see some of the original tables, stoves, and bed frames where they originally were before they left everything behind.

One warning if you are planning a trip out to Bodie, the last three miles before you enter are unpaved gravel roads. We did the drive in a sedan and there are no pot holes anywhere you will hear a lot of rocks flinging up the side of your car.

Bodie is really neat and has a creepy feel to it. Everything seems like it was left in its original place when it was abandoned (e.g. Old coke bottles left in crates and papers on the desks). The buildings are blocked off from entering them, but you can view the inside through the windows. Definitely check this place out if you're passing through the area. There is a small entrance fee to get in.

An absolute treasure for the State of California. If you are anywhere even remotely nearby, you should stop and see this park. Beware though, the rangers are definitely on top of parking fees so make sure you pay the parking fee properly. It is even dog friendly. Might be wise to use the restroom before coming here though, the facilities aren't exactly top notch. On the other hand if you do have to go, it gives you a pretty good feel for how things used to be back in the olden days.

Awesome place that must be seen to really enjoy. This city was more populated than San Francisco in it's heyday.

So interesting to think that only last century folks were still willing to move to someplace so far away just for the hope of striking it rich. Guess there was no Bicoin back then

I LOVE this place! This is by far the best ghost we have visited so far (alot of paranormal activity-see the orbs in the photos!). The park rangers seem to love working here and know every detail of the town. Definitely worth the drive

Bodie Ghost town is worth the drive! Most of the buildings are original a few have been added or repaired to maintain the park. Plan on at least 2 hours to walk the whole town. $8 per adult entrance fee, bathrooms are available. Make sure you stop by the cemetery before you head out of town. #ghost town #bodie

Highly recommend this place! I bought the self guide booklet at the entrance along with the tickets and it was so worth it! It guide you through all the buildings and the history behind each building and the town itself.
It is obvious that they put lots of efforts in maintaining the site and it is well preserved.

The road that you need to drive to reach the park is I paved and pretty bumpy. Just be prepared.

There isn't much like this left around. An amazing historic park and well maintained. If you have kids this is a must! Nothing like seeing an amazing part of California history. Great for people of all ages and you will be able to see the inside of places just as they were left 100 years ago.
