Bee has very strong hands for deep tissue massage, she is wonderful. Massage is professional. There is no parking for Bodywise in the lot, so park on the street and pay the meter.

Tobi and her team are such skilled body workers. They listen to me and my body on what I need and what I can handle at each visit. When I leave, I leave feeling better in my body and in my mind. I scheduled an appointment for my wife, specifically requesting a female massage therapist. About a week before the appointment Tobi emailed saying that the time I'd booked was no longer available (no reason was given), and I was asked to reschedule. I accepted, and reconfirmed my wife's request for a female masseuse.

When my wife arrived at the appointment she was greeted by a male massage therapist. My wife was is not comfortable being massaged by a male, and awkwardly told the gentleman that she wished to cancel the appointment. I was unable to pick my wife up early, and she booked an Uber home.

My wife and I are new parents to a baby daughter, and we find ourselves with precious little time to spare. The inconvenience caused by Bodywise's error was very disappointing and frustrating, and cost us a significant portion of our day.

We emailed Tobi about our experience, and while she did apologize and reimburse the cost of the cancelled session, she did not offer any compensation for the loss of our time, and the additional expenses we incurred for taxi fares.

Instead, we were told that "confirmation emails do say the name of the practitioner you will be seeing 24-hours in advance" and "we hire many male practitioners and do extensive vetting to be able to assist folks in overcoming this barrier [a preference for a female massage therapist] as we have found that being able to work with both/either gender can have profound healing effects"

Mistakes are inevitable, but I believe it is right to take full responsibility for mistakes, and provide full and fair compensation.

In Tobi's "final" email to me she wrote "do not contact us or come back to Bodywise going forward or we will be forced to take further action to protect our staff and clients". I believe I was eminently polite and respectful in all my communications with Tobi, and am genuinely perplexed by her response. I would love to ask Tobi why she feels the need to "protect" her staff from me, but I'll respect her request not to contact her again, so I suppose this will forever be a mystery to me.

Really know their stuff! I found Bodywise therapeutic massage online because I have had an ongoing shoulder issue for over a year. My massage therapist was immensely knowledgeable and able to tackle the puzzle that is my shoulder. The functional bodywork I got was exactly what I need & will be seeing them again! Tobi runs her business with such pride and joy. The way she cares for each and every client is so special. I see it every time I get a massage from her. She truly loves her community and does what she can to help out others. I can not recommend her enough along with all of the massage therapists that work for her.

I have tried many other body workers and alternative treatments for unwanted aches and pain. NEVER have I experienced such a brilliant, intuitive, extremely knowledgeable, kind and caring body worker who clearly knows how to ease any holding and tightening in the body. Kyle has been the only practitioner who has helped me with injuries and pain conditions that are now rarely felt. In addition, he’s given me some simple exercises to stay looser. And thanks to him, I’m able to be physically active at almost 70. I have two friends who see other practitioners there and also love it. And, I’ve come to know the owner, Tobi, who is also very knowledgeable about the mind body connection. I would completely trust her recommendations based on what you need.
