Boiling Point Concept reviews
16I got the an order of the beef pot and there was barely any beef. It felt like I was a rabbit eating a salad in soup. I got the hot broth which was one of the few things I liked about my order. Good thing it came with rice or I would still be hungry. Maybe it’s just not for me though.
Too crowed, over price and not so good at customer service. Soup too hot and waiting time is patetic.
I think this is an excellent place for it’s price point. With the price you get plenty of food with good taste and quality. Service was also excellent. I ordered medium level and it was spicy enough for me. Didn’t take a picture of it, but I also ordered Holy Cow. And it was also excellent
Not wroth for take time right here the food test so so just go else where, buy instant noodle still test better than this place.
Always nice quality! My favorite is beef.staffs were very kind.my favorite boiling point location
The waiters were so nice, and the food was delicious! I had the veggies and mushroom hotpot, and some of the tofu appetizer, loved it. My mom got the angus beef and loved it as well. It was super busy and the employees were doing great, definitely come here.:)
I love Boiling Point! Usually go to the one in San Gabriel but the one in Old Town Pasadena is much more convenient. It is a very small space, and you are packed in a bit, but it's the same Boiling Point that you would expect with the same menu, and great quality of food. I ordered the Tender Lamb and the most popular spicy beef hot pot. Both were excellent!
Great food, amazing taste. Only complaint is the white rice, not as great as everything else
Had the best experience with this place. Staffs were super nice. Delicious food and I enjoyed my visit.
Do not get the Taiwanese spicy. First off, Taiwanese food is rarely spicy and never uses Schezwan pepper corns. I love my share of spicy but this was just intolerable. Sometimes, spice is counteracted with flavor. This had no flavor, just spice. We asked if they always made it this spicy and they waived it off like it was normal. Shouldve asked if anyone has ever came back to order the same thing. Because that's a definite no. Save your money and time and avoid the Taiwanese spicy. They need to give it a different name and change their recipe.
Cumin lamb was delicious! Love that they have spice you can add. Lots of food and you’re able to order the tea from next door
Pretty good, but I prefer traditional hot pot. Very little ability to assess the broth or pick toppings. Each dish has its veggies/proteins set. Not much broth.
This is a chain Taiwanese hot soup restaurant that serves various Asian inspired flavors. It’s best to dine on a cold day since the soup stays super hot from the burner. The portions were generous but the broth was lacking in flavor and the brown rice was mushy. The service was fast and efficient.
I want to start off expressing I really like Boiling Point and I’ve been eating it many many times.
The waitress is so careless and rude to me.
Today is thanksgiving and it is really cold outside. I was trying to tell her that is is really cold. Her name is Maria. She forced me to wait outside when there is literally nobody in there waiting. She is rude and careless to customers. I understand it is thanksgiving but you don’t need to treat me like a homeless, okay?
So rude. Deserved to be fired. No customer service at all.
Likely the least crowded Boiling Point in the area. Also the Taiwanese spicy is NO JOKE so be very careful when ordering!
Glad I went there went they weren’t busy. The tables are so close together. I hate having to listen to someone else’s conversation or talk over them. The food was tasty, although the amount of meat included was less than I expected. When it comes to hot pot, I prefer a “build your own” option. The highlight for me were the desserts, reminiscent of my childhood. I understand why people still like this place, but I prefer to go down to Alhambra or El Monte.
