Wow, Bonjuk and Bibimbap is awesome! My only regret is not knowing about this place sooner. I can see why it’s one of the most popular chains from Korea. The restaurant was clean and modern looking inside, and the food was phenomenal. It was a healthy, lighter option compared to some other spots in the area. Our server was also super nice.

We ordered the mushroom + bulgogi bibimbap and seafood pancake. Both were absolutely delicious, and I look forward to coming back again soon.

The food are delicious with light and well-balanced seasoning. It leaves you feeling satisfied and your body feeling comfortable/recharged. I love their ginseng chicken porridge, the seafood pancake, bibimbap and the Korean soup. I wish the server would be a little more attentive to the customers (understandably that sometime it’s hard when there is only one server). They close a little too early (8: 30 pm).

In my experience and view, it seems like, all these good reviews are from their friends. It can’t be as good as good other hard working restaurant trying to get better. When I eat cheese burger combo meal less than $10, I have no complaints.
I get full too.
I'd like to give this place
0 star if It's possible. In Korea, bonjuk advertised that their food amount is large in response to their uncommon price to competitors. It's barely small children portions. I also believe they used Chinese mushroom & vegetables which is a lot cheaper & unsafe than Korean or American. I guessed according to their food portion. McDonald, Wendy's, or fast food chain is worth more. Bonjuk's slogan is slow food. Which leads to better food than fast foods. This is not the case. These particular franchise is very very greedy. Their sides foods are only two little kinds and taste so bitter unlike side dishes in Korea. I would say, it's worse than happy meal. Korean foods are known for many kinds of side dishes unless their food is super good. Their side dishes are the worst in my life time experience. This place is shame for Koreans. I saw those non korean reviews. I'm so ashamed. They would feel a lot different if they go to popular Korean restaurants even around here. After all, this is worst Korean porridge & food compared to those in Korea & American. The worst Korean restaurant I've ever been worldwide. There are good Americans & bad ones. I feel like this place is owned
by bad Korean or imitators. I would report them to health department right away if I see any mishandling of foods or cockroaches in their place

Very boujee and a bit expensive, but the service was top-notch, the food was delicious and the ambiance is great.

Some of the best food I've ever had in my life. Octopus and Bulgogi porridge was incredibly delicious and comforting. Service was also excellent. I can't recommend this place enough.

Modern minimalist décor vibe. Hearty healthy menu. My teenage daughter and friends recommended the place. We brought friends for birthday dinner tonight. We are already planning on what to order next time. We would love to see different varieties of veggie side dishes.

During this rare cold winter in SoCal (low 40°F), we were craving for some hot tasty porridge and found this famous Seoul-base chain store that offers traditional healthy Korean dishes. There were more than 15 different types of porridge and bibimbaps (x10) to choose from. Price is fairly reasonable (a bit less than $20/ea). At last we choose the abalone porridge, beef/Mushroom porridge and Mushroom/bulgogi bibimbap. Everything tastes A+.

I love porridge and the ones they offer here not only with variety but also taste amazing (ingredients are cut into small pieces not chunky and look very fresh). Service is not very fast but still good (only one person outside the kitchen). Tables and the restaurant itself are clean. I like they spread the tables with enough distance in between so you dont feel crowded. Highly recommended
