BooK Family Farm, Durham CA

I'm not sure if the problem was the day we went, which was a Tuesday but it was very small and not much to do. They have animals you can pet, and a small maze but not much else. Their pony was very dirty so I didn't let my baby pet any of the animals. The animals were very sweet and friendly though. I can tell a lot of effort was put into acclimating them to people. For a pumpkin patch, it's pretty dull, but if you want to do a lot of goat petting, it's perfect.

The Book Family farm is beautiful and has many interactive stations for the children. It was very fun. This part of California is mostly populated by white folks and I don’t think they are used to seeing people of color. I think they should be better prepared and be more welcoming when they do encounter us. Although in 2023 it really shouldn’t even be a problem…. I experienced very hostile and Unwelcoming energy from them when it came to paying for the pumpkins. If you run family establishments like this you should at least try to be a bit more culturally competent. My son was very happy and luckily he’s only 3 so doesn’t understand yet. Prejudice is real: (I just moved here and have had many bad experiences in many locations in butte county because of the color of my skin.

It is a great place to go I love how they work with the children and make it so fun loved how my kid talked about it felt like a week but would love to know if they sell there cow milk

Great place for field trips. The people are nice and informative. The animals are treated well and the kids have a good opportunity to interact with them.

It's changed since we last had gone still cute wish they had more for the kids.but we still enjoyed our visit

It's always nice to visit such a fun place. The Book family knows how to make their customers enjoy their time. My two boys love this farm.
