19Delicious fresh food, great service. Very impressed overall. Everyone was impressed by the menu!
Food is good but haven't changed the menu in 10 years. My biggest complaint is they add 20% to your bill for a tip, as the person who is paying the bill I decide how much to tip, think that's so rude.
Fantastic spot. Best food in guerneville and probably in the larger area. Everything is organic, delicious, and creative. Would definitely recommend and will be back!
Please read all other raving reviews. Our experience was (my opinion) not in line with the price paid. There is creativity, which is beautiful, but there's also unfortunately missing the mark. We had the polenta lasagna, which was not a lasagna. What's the first thing you think of when you think of a lasagna? Layers! This was just one block of polenta with a bit of greens and sauce. Not bad but not really what it could have been. And then the Moroccan couscous: suffice is it to say that someone needs to visit Morocco! To me it was almost chicken marinara with a few olives thrown in and served with couscous instead of pasta. Again, my experience, and when I pay >$20 for an entree, I become very critical. I'm sorry if I'm hurting feelings in the kitchen.
Truly delicious food. The squash with brown butter sage was the best. Mac and cheese with a little mushrooms and a little shallot also a fav.
Such a wonderful farm to table spot that we stumbled on! The food, service and ambiance were all spectacular. Go visit it now!
By hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten in many, many years. This should be a Michelin rated restaurant. The halibut was too die for. The pesto on top of it was fantastic. Our waitress was amazing, she knew what wine went with what. If you are any where in the Santa Rosa valley go out of your way to come to this place! Differently making a trip to come back here!
Great place to eat in downtown Guerneville. They have an event room for groups. Only complaint is the truffle fries is only sprinkled with truffle salt.
I fell in love with the beet salad yrs ago, it’s the only item I ever get. I’m not into steaks etc, but the beet salad fresh from their garden is awesome. Just learned Crista is the chef at Boon and BROT, I didn’t know that before. She must be busy bopping from one to the other, busy lady. I’ve never eaten at BROT yet, maybe someday? No matter what, I’ll still get the beet salad at Boon
Great meal after a long hike, I was kind of missing ice in my water, but that's a personal preference for sure! Overall the burger was great, mac was delicious and Brussels sprouts flavorful and delicious!
The pork shoulder with polenta was so flavorful. The Moroccan chicken was tasty, although I think it would be better with a dark meat chicken as the breast gets dried out. Great service.
Very satisfying meal. Grateful they fit our party of 6 in near closing. Pork shoulder with polenta was a stand-out while the starters (burrata, carrots, beets) were good but not exceptional. Attentive and friendly service - probably the best I’ve had in Guerneville.
Oh my God this restaurant is incredible! My wife and I stopped on a lark for our anniversary and the dinner was one of the best I’ve had anywhere in at least a year. The menu is seasonal, but I had a steak that was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The truffle fries were so good that we ordered a second helping just for fun. Special shout out to the brownie. It levitated off my plate. Heaven. My wife had a lot of dietary restrictions and she had the vegan plate which was superb as well. I highly recommend!
Get the Brussel sprouts! Everything is amazing but those were definitely the highlight. Overall a great dining experience every time.
More casual than the first impression gives. I got the Mac n cheese but wouldn’t get it again. Very runny sauce; nothing special imo.
Fries were great. Other food looked good. I will definitely go back and try more of their specials and main dishes.
Cool, comfortable, quaint in a good way. Really good food, my friend and I shared a couple small dishes and we're very satisfied.
We got seated in the adjoining dining area which had a lot of flies. The food was good but personally, I considered it mediocre quality.the melon salad was just melon with a light dressing, the pork shoulder was dry, and they placed the steak on top of the truffle fries instead of the salad (which had no dressing) so all the fries were soggy. The portions were also small as well.the scallops on top of mushy peas had 3 total scallops for $35. Overall it felt like ~$16-20 quality food not $28-35. Our group of 5 was still hungry after 3 appetizers and 4 mains to share. Also 20% auto gratuity is not worth.
Small dining room setting with covered outdoor seating that is heated for cooler weather. Located on the main drag in Guerneville next to other adorable small shops. Service was great, and a select variety of local brews and wines. Menu was simple but still had variety, which made it easy to decide on what to order. I had the mixed greens salad, red wine braised pork with polenta, fennel and salsa verde, with broiche bread pudding for dessert all were good portions with amazing flavors, salted perfectly. My boyfriend had the rock cod and enjoyed it very much. Overall great experience, and would recommend to anyone looking for some good eats in a quite setting.
One of the recommended restaurants in Guerneville area. They don't take reservations, but we were able to snatch a spot at 6pm on a Thursday night. Others who came later did have to wait. We ordered their steak and halibut. Both were delicious. The portion size of the halibut felt decent but left me a bit hungry still. Service was average, did have to wait a bit and wave down our server a few times. A good option to try out if in the area.
