Bottega Louie reviews
14 Love all of the Italian food and drinks every time I come here! Great service and very friendly staff.
*Recommend: espresso martini, welcome bread & butter (free while dining), goat cheese salad, any of the pizzas, salted caramel macarons, espresso macarons, tiramisu, beignets.
*My only complaint (4*Atmosphere) is that I wish the high ceilings didn’t cause it to echo so loudly inside while dining. It forces patrons to need to yell just to speak to a person at their table and makes the restaurant sound like a busy mall food court. Maybe there is something that can be done about sound buffering in the restaurant area?
I had the most wonderful dining experience at Bottega Louie and couldn't wait to share my thoughts about this gem of a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by an elegant and inviting ambiance that set the tone for what turned out to be a truly exceptional evening.
The menu at Bottega Louie is a culinary masterpiece, offering a diverse range of options that cater to various tastes and preferences. Whether you're a fan of Italian cuisine or simply appreciate top-notch flavors, this place has something for everyone. The attention to detail in every dish is evident, with fresh ingredients and expertly crafted flavors that leave a lasting impression.
Super delicious pizzas and pastas with a divine selection of pastries and cakes! All in a minimalist but fancy high-ceiling building. They make their pizzas fresh to order and you have to try the portobello fries!
The only issue is that it is SUPER busy and loud at lunch so maybe go on off-times
This place is so nice-looking and the people who work here are very pleasant. But gosh, the food was awful. My friend and I had dinner here and both of us got nauseous after and had to take some Tums to calm our stomach. The food wasn't even good, just very bland.
Fantastic pizza, great crust and toppings. They are large not personal sized. Also excellent desserts. It’s very loud, no sound deadening, so not the best for an intimate conversation or important business meeting.
Stopped by to satiete my sweet tooth. Picked up a double chocolate cake slice. It was decadent and delicious! The atmosphere was upscale and luxurious. It was pretty busy even though it was close to closing hour. I'm thinking of coming back to have a dine in experience.
Excellent Café and restaurants. The desserts were too good. The food was excellent. The pizza was a must try and the mushroom fries were yum! Must try if you need great food
I had the pleasure of dining at Bottega Louie in downtown Los Angeles, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The restaurant's chic and elegant atmosphere immediately caught my attention as I entered. The stylish decor and lively ambiance created a great setting for a memorable evening.
Now, onto the pepperoni pizza. The pizza was definitely a highlight of the meal. The thin crust had a lovely crispiness, and the cheese was gooey and satisfying. The pepperoni provided a nice kick of flavor and added a satisfying savory element to each bite. While the flavors were enjoyable and the pizza was well-executed, I felt that it didn't quite reach the level of being exceptional or unique.
The service at Bottega Louie was attentive and courteous, and the staff was more than happy to assist with any inquiries or requests. Although the timing of some dishes was a tad inconsistent, it didn't significantly impact the overall dining experience.
One aspect that stood out was the variety of options available on their menu. Beyond the pizza, there were a range of dishes that showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and creative preparation. It's clear that the culinary team takes pride in crafting a diverse selection for diners to choose from.
While my experience was positive, I would have liked to see a bit more innovation in the pizza's flavor profile to truly make it stand out. Nevertheless, Bottega Louie is a restaurant worth visiting for its inviting ambiance, friendly service, and an array of appealing dishes. I'll certainly consider returning to explore more of their offerings.
"Taiwanese Eat in America"
Let me talk about the summary first: Maybe the meal is not to my liking, I feel a little disappointed, sorry⋯
Today I took tiramisu, berry chocolate cake (forgot the name⋯), 6 packs of macarons
Both cakes were a bit disappointing: tiramisu is usually too sweet; the taste of the berry chocolate cake is not enough, the acidity of the berries can be higher, and it tastes better if you sprinkle some nuts on your own~
The flavor of macaron fruit is relatively strong, but the soft shell is really well done~
First time at Bottega Louie. Great atmosphere but the food was OK and little pricey. Disappointed due to limited menu during brunch time. I’d consider visiting them again for dinner to see if we have a better experience. Their pastries are good!
Delicious! And the excellent service. We ordered the napoli pizza and the arugula salad. We will definitely go back!
Delicious bakery, coffee, macarons
Everyone is "to go" after giving you a packed meal
find your own seat
The truffle pizza is but the club sandwich was cold we couldn’t eat it and they refused to roast it, the forks was dirty and this disappointed us
Just a beautiful shop and restaurant. We had a casual lunch and purchased coffee and macarons to go.
The lavender coffee was delicious, as was the regular latte. The best coffee we had the whole time we were in Los Angeles.
