WOW, just wow! Celebrated my birthday here last night and this was an amazing experience from the moment we walked in the door!

Beautiful atmosphere, exceptional service, Michelin star quality food and fantastic wine pairings! I cannot recommend this place enough!

So happy to have found this local Santa Barbara gem!

Took the wife here for our wedding anniversary. They made a nice little table outside and covered it in rose peddles. Some of the best good and service. The seasonal braised short ribs were amazing!

This is one of Santa Barbara's finest restaurants. And the prices are remarkably reasonable for a restaurant with that reputation. The food was good but not over the top. I guess with its reputation you kind of expect it's going to be memorable. The sea bass was tasty and hot. The squash soup was not even close to the best that I've had. The La Brea bread and butter were very good. Service was very attentive. Unbalance it didn't quite live up to my expectation. And it didn't seem to be as good as it has been on the multiple occasions when I have visited in years gone by.

The service from our waiter Dominic was great. Very personable and knowledgeable about the menu. Of course it’s pricy but food was very good. I had the duck which was very rich and flavorful, the thigh was amazing while the breast was a bit chewier than what most chicken eaters would be used to. The creme brûlée was pretty good. But the star for me personally was the 3 way scallops, absolutely delicious. Would recommend bouchon if you’re feeling spendy

My wife and I were celebrating our "Just Married" with 6 of our friends and bouchon created a superb evening of food, wine, and hospitality. The special menu of courses they put together accommodated a full range of preferences and managed to give everyone plate envy despite what you ordered for yourself. The courses were perfectly filling and embodied Cali/French cuisine top the fullest. David the sommelier turned our dinner up to 11 with a flight full of local gems that held hands with everyone's dishes. Dave the waiter seemed to be everywhere at once while being everyone's best friend all while steering this epic culinary voyage (and we were a pretty loose crew). The evening melted away but I will never forget it.

The atmosphere was beautiful. The service was excellent. Our waiter went next door to get me a lemonade because they didn't serve it there. So he went above and beyond! However, I really wish I could say the food was great. The garlic potatoes and brussel sprouts were ok but the roasted chicken wasn't very flavorful. But that may be so the customer can add salt themselves, maybe? ‍️ My husband forced himself to finish every bit of his plate. He did like the French onion soup though. I brought most of food back to my room and didn't finish it. The wine was excellent and the dessert was delicious too. So thats why I gave them 4 stars.

We celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday here. Both the service and the food left nothing else to be desired. Our experience was absolutely incredible, starting with the owners setting up a special table with rose petals and a personalized card, all the way to our server, David, who ensured that we felt as special as can be. And the food…the chef outdid himself! We had the scallops trio, the pork belly, and the crab cakes appetizers; for mains we had the duck, the wagyu steak, and wines to pair with each. This is one place we’d definitely return to for the food. But the service is what truly made this a memorable night! Thank you, Bouchon team!

Bouchon is a must if you're in Santa Barbara. David (sommelier) and David our waiter were both friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Food is balanced, flavourful and reasonably priced. The deserts are just extraordinary. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food and service. Great meal. The scallop appetizer was superb and the wine pairings with our meal were great selections by our waiter

The food was amazing. Every bite was delicious! The vibes were overall so quaint and warm. Such a great date night place! We also had such an incredible server Lucas. He was so friendly and gave us great recommendations for places to eat and drink in SB and helped navigate us through the menu! Need to check this place out!

Lovely ambience, good good and great service. Definitely a great option for a special night out. Make reservations ahead of time because it can get busy:).

Bouchon Santa Barbara is an excellent Calif. Wine Cruisin restaurant. The complimentary hot bread and butter are very good.

The Trio of Sea Scallops, also known as dive scallops, which has only five scallops in one pounds, are so good with three different cooking style. That dish should be listed on a Michelin menu.

Every dish was delicious. Started with the wagyu beef tartar and bone marrow and the heirloom tomatoes with balsamic reduction. On to the cabernet braised short ribs and the Bouchon duck. Ended with the chocolate molten cake, well executed if no longer innovative, and a glass of 20 year old Port. Service was spot on - attentive without being intrusive; friendly and informative without monopolizing your time. Excellent balance. Highly recommended.

Food was as advertised. Everything was cooked perfectly and flavors were mostly great. Even as simple as grilled asparagus with balsamic that I typically don't order because I do that at home, was perfectly prepared. Duck was phenomenal, would eat that any day of the week. The Sea Bass was really good as well, although I wish the dish had a little more flavor. I went back and forth on whether it was bland or just letting the fish shine, I think it was both. Can't wait to go back next time we are in town.

Our experience at Bouchon was more than just a great dinner. It was one of the most outstanding dining experiences we’ve ever had. We made reservations to celebrate our anniversary and the team there went out of their way to make it special for us. The food was delicious, particularly the duck. It was vastly outdone though by the service. Mitchell was so passionate about the region’s wines and really spent quality time ensuring the wines we had were perfectly paired to both our likes and our plates. Each paring coming with a story of the respective wine makers and vineyards. It was evening we will never forget nor ever be able to adequately thank Mitchell and his team for. Epic!

The Food Was Delicious (1. Smoky Seared Yellowtail - appetizer, 2. PAN-ROASTED FREE-RANGE JIDORI CHICKEN BREAST, 3. CABERNET-BRAISED SHORT RIB. See pics)! Dessert. OMG (WARM SANTA BARBARA CHOCOLATE ‘MOLTEN LAVA’ CAKE & WARM BLACKBERRY-LEMON UPSIDE-DOWN CAKE)!

They gave us plenty of warm bread before our meals too.

Customer service was excellent! Staff were very knowledgeable of their menu and patient answering all our questions (it was our first time visiting Bouchon).

Not many (if any) options for small children however (2.5yr old). But she enjoyed the desert.

Ok where to start! My Wife and I held our wedding reception dinner for our families at Bouchon this past Sunday. Bouchon had a very very smooth booking process - I got the impression they have accommodated larger parties frequently. The whole staff was 100% ready for us and service was A+ for the ~3 hours we dined. They have a quite extensive outside parklet space in addition to the patio directly in front of the restaurant, which is where we sat. The space was great, consistent with many contemporary restaurants we could glimpse the kitchen inside. Wine was amazing (I recommend local SB options!). Food was also amazing. I ordered the seared yellowfin first and ribeye for main. (Wife ordered the Duck which is a must try here). All the meats were fantastic, I particularly liked the hash that came with the ribeye - could have eaten an unlimited amount of that ha. Bouchon made the whole occasion feel very special and personalized; the proprietor Mitchell was fantastic as well and we look forward to dining at Bouchon again in the future.

Great food and outstanding service. They threw rose petals on our table for our anniversary. The only thing lacking as compared to other local similar restaurants is the complimentary dessert with "Happy Anniversary" which is always a nice touch. I think they could enhance setting with more green plants and lights outside their parklet.
