Boudin Bakery Cafe reviews
10 A unique bakery with an attached cafe. The latter showcases many of the baked items whose aroma draws you into the store in the first place besides the fun and fascinating visual showcasing of the baking workflow from the street curbside. Mostly reopened the visual showcasing was still being restored a week before this writing.
The unbelievable freshness and quality of the bakery has two signature dishes to demonstrate with:
A. Bread bowl. Soup in a bread bowl where soup is served in the cavity carved into a large bread / bun. As it seems into the bowl walls the mouth waters to savor it.
B. No-frill plain cheese Pizza that uses the baked flatbread as the dough base: way better fit than any pizza dough one can imagine
I will leave the rest for you to see, taste, savor and enjoy
It was so so busy for the 4th of July, but Cat helped make our experience grand! She was very kind and assisted in every way possible to get in line, find a table, and have a wonderful time. Thank you! Highly recommend their chowder and bread bowl!
We went on the Fourth of July and it was jam packed with people. It was pretty cold outside and they had heaters on just to keep people warm.
The soup had flavor, definitely good portion size. But the bread crust was chewy. The actual dough was good to eat with the soup.
I loved eating San Francisco's very own sour dough buns here. It's a place where you can see the whole process standing upstairs or even on the pavement staying outside the cafe. I loved the collections on the museum as well as those funny looking bakes.
Chowder bowl down by the water was very good. Friendly even though they were really busy. We went with locals who told us this was best chowder bowl around and we were pretty impressed!
They were very accommodating of us as a group of 30 plus people. I had the clamp chowder which was really delicious. Paid a visit to the museum upstairs. Very informative. Definitely worth a visit.
I love the nice and medieval architecture, I tried their sandwich and it was good. The location is close to the bay with bustling activities and nice scenry. The have great selection of wines and other alcoholic beverages. It's a cool place to have lunch.
Fell in love with this place instantly. They have amazing sourdough loaves, bread bowls for soup, and sliced bread for amazing sandwiches. They have pastries, cookies, and brownies as well. They have coffee and a deli inside as well. If you need a great gift for a food lover as well they have a massive assortment of gifts. They smells are amazing.
This place is very busy at lunch hours from around 12pm, despite this they have a fast service and the staff are friendly and extra helpful. I ordered chowder and mango juice which was awesome though i found it somehow overpriced.
Very nice place definitely great customer service especially Jude he's a very good employee he should get a raise he's good at his job
