Brand X Huaraches - NO NIKES, Oakland CA

It's been 8 days since I placed my order and I have no confirmation regarding shipping. The last confirmation I received was a receipt for payment on November 6. I called and left a message.have not received a call back yet. I emailed, I messaged on Facebook and Instagram.no response. I'm kind of wondering if this company is legit but I have seen some reviews so.

I was very excited to receive the shoes I had ordered; they were shipped the day after I ordered them! I was impressed by their speed. Unfortunately, the shoes while absolutely gorgeous and carefully made, were just too narrow. I had originally wanted to order them in wide, as they state they sell, but all the colors I was interested in did not have wide available. I decided to chance the regular.

Since they ended up not being right for my feet, I emailed them (the day after I received them) asking about exchanging them for the same shoe, same size, but wide. The same day, I got a confirmation email stating that they got my email. No response.

Three days later, I sent them another message, this time though their own messaging portal on their website. Received a confirmation message of receipt and promise of response. No response.

I had waited 10 days from the last message for them to respond and got silence. Utterly frustrated by the lack of communication that they espouse to provide according to the website and purchase confirmation, I researched their website to see if there was something else I could do. So, I packaged the shoes back up in the box they came in and noted "return please" on the original receipt sent with the shoes and waited for the credit to my credit card. After a few days, I called them to check on the return; I left a message. Nobody returned my call, but a return receipt showed up in my email a few days later.

I wish I could say that I love my huaraches and think they are amazing. They looked gorgeous and were truly beautifully handmade. But, the customer experience I had was atrocious. I hope that they can improve their lack of communication because that is all that is standing between them and my desire to spend money with their company.

Just great everything! Great well-made shoes, great customer service, great style! I've owned and loved "street huaraches" from Mexico, but the thing with Brand X is they have the same authenticity, but come with premium strong supportive soles and high quality materials. Highly reccommeded!

Mine make noise when I wear them it’s annoying and no refund policy. The shoe it self is very comfortable but not worth the embarrassment.

I own 3 pair of Brand X Huaraches. The first pair I purchased (on the Free People website), is a boot in the natural color. Every time I wear them I get compliments. They are nice for spring, summer and fall. They end up hitting my leg mid-ankle and the color is exactly as shown. The quality is unmatched. My second pair is a red Pachuco sandal. Again amazing quality and I get a ton of compliments. They are exactly as pictured. The last pair I purchased is a black Phoeniz Boot 2. I love love these. They are versatile, amazing quality and very comfortable. The leather will stretch a bit, but I still ordered my regular size. Their customer service is also really great. You can not go wrong with these shoes.

Just received my 3d pair of huaraches today. I love them as usual and these new ones are even more comfy. These last forever and get better with age. Thank you for your great service and your wonderful shoes!

I went to a mural unveiling here last weekend.
There was wine and beer, cake and candy.
The building is covered in murals
The sandals were out on display and I have to say they were really beautiful.
Light woven leather straps, Really nice designs!

These are my GO TO sandals all summer! Great colors and so comfy. I can run around after my kids and my feet feel fabulous!

Love this place! Been buying shoes from their site for over 10 years. Their shoes last forever! Couldn't be happier with their product or service!

This review has to do with the fact that I was not issued a refund by this merchant. I returned two pairs of Brand X Huaraches to the merchant on or about August 08 2018. I know that date because I placed an order over the telephone with the merchant for another pair. He assured me that he had issued me a refund. As of September 20th I had no refund. I checked with my credit card company and they verified that I had not received a refund. At that point I instituted fraud proceedings against the above merchant. I have tried without success to reach the merchant and have left several messages, none of which have been returned.

As for the shoes themselves, be forewarned, they stretch to about a size bigger than the stated size.

All together a very negative experience and I am posting this review because I wish to warn other potential customers to be very careful when buying from this company.

I am just grateful to my credit card company for their assistance to me in this matter.
