Brazil by the Bay reviews
13Very simple and casual, friendly, accommodating staff, a nice Brazilian flavor to the food and the atmosphere
Great food and waitress was nice. Atmosphere was pretty much dead. Place needs some Brazilian music
Brazil by the Bay is so amazing and I can't stop dreaming about the feijoada. I went there 2 days in a row this week. The mushroom appetizer is superb. Friendly staff, quick service. The outside patio is pleasant on a sunny day.
Great place and wanted to try it since my wife and son are really into Jiu Jitsu for the past 5 years. Now they know a bit of what the food is like! Impressive and we tried to try everything, but we have to stop by a few more times.:) Great service too!
Sport Bar vibe but delivers and exceeds expectations - every single dish was wonderful. The service was also very quick and attentive, would definitely recommend this little gem.
I love pastel. I couldn’t resist and got three plus a flan. Both were delicious.
The server was very helpful giving us a hand in our choices.
When your beef comes burned and they "include" $5 extra on your already 33% Tip and the owner sends you a message because you gave him an 1 star review. I'd give ZERO, but it wasn't available.
Good food. Some stuff a little pricy but can worth it. The grocery store attached. Well, you can find many items but prepare your pocket. Suuuper expensive.
A bright moment for our Brazilian exchange student to have a little piece of home to share with us!
The food here is the best. Authentic Brazilian food. You won't be dissapointed, no matter what you order off the menu. There is a Brazilian market next door as well. In today's market, the food is priced very well and the service is excellent. The Xingu Beer taste so good!
Good food, interesting menu, friendly helpful staff. If you go here when the Flamecos are playing, it may be loud. Reasonably priced. Worth a visit.
What a seriously cool little place tucked away in San Diego!
I have a friend online from Santa Catarina, a state in southern Brazil, that wanted me to try some Coxinhas. The more I get to know my friend the more fascinated I am by Brazilian culture. Southern California has a lot of Hispanic culture here but you don't see too much Brazilian culture here. But what do you know I stumbled across this place while looking for a place to try Coxinhas, a popular Brazilian street food, and I found this place and wanted to try it out!
The people inside were super friendly and hospitable! The food I tried was very tasty, and it was cool seeing other Brazilians going in and getting food too. After eating I went to the import shop attached to the cafe and bought a few things from 'em to try out. The gentleman running the shop was very friendly and recommended me some very good things to try! The Pilao coffee is def worth a buy and I def notice the caffeine from it when I drink it, which I don't notice from typical prepackaged coffees you usually find at the grocery store.
I hope I can visit Brazil one day, but at least we have a place like this here to get a little taste of Brazil here in Southern California!
My Brazilian friend had a message to the people here at the shop, and it's in Portuguese so I will copy/paste it here!
"Estou feliz em saber que meu amigo encontrou este local, eu fico falando para ele provar uma coxinha toda hora e finalmente ele encontrou um bom restaurante.
Parabéns pelo sucesso e desejo a todos vocês um ótimo dia, obrigado por receber meu amigo e pela recepção que todo brasileiro se orgulha, um grande abraço e sucesso ah todos vocês. "
