Breakfast Republic reviews
19Food is great but the wait is long and atmosphere is quite loud. The metal chairs they use are super uncomfortable and noisy every time somebody moves and the table spacing is cramped and people are always bumping into your table as they walk by.
Yup This Place Is A Tricky Place To Find. Yeah It's Behind The Liberty Public Market On Sims Street. If You See The Sign You Are On Sims. I Had The Steak & Eggs Plate. I Also Had A Mimosa, Bloody Mary & A Water. I Spoke To The Manager Who Took Over When The Bartender Left. Yeah She Was Awesome & Very Professional! Yeah The Food Took Awhile. Oh Yeah Was Worth The Wait! I Like How They Cooked It To Order & Pre Cut The Steak, Oh The Sauce They Put On It Was Definitely Delicious! Yup The Eggs Over Easy Like I Asked For. I Loved The Potatoes & The Sourdough Toast Was Excellent. Yeah The Mimosa Was Ok & The Bloody Mary Was Great. I Will Definitely Be Back Soon As I Told The Nice Manager. I Would Recommend This Great Resterant.
Breakfast Republic, was a first I've heard of this chain. We arrived to San Diego to see my nephew graduate from the Marines Recruit Depot. As we left the ceremony we were hungry and we were looking for a great place to eat and celebrate our New Marine. We drove a bit and found this place and were hesitant at first about eating there. We decided to give it a shot and boy are we glad we did! We were a party of 15 and we all had questions about the menu and about the flavors of each dish. Eric (or Erick, failed to ask), our waiter was AWESOME, to say the least! He was very patient and took the time to explain to each and everyone of us about our choices and was honest about his thoughts on the item (s) we were inquiring about. A few of us even changed our minds on the items we had thought about ordering and are we glad we did. Eric's suggestions were on point and the food items he suggested were very delicious. Even the picky eaters in our party were very satisfied with his suggestions. We are very grateful to Eric for his knowledge, suggestions and for his patience with us. He truly is one that takes pride in what he does and to give everyone a great memorable experience. If not for Eric the only pleasant memory we would have had would have been my nephew's graduation in becoming a Marine.
Eric, from the bottom of all our hearts we thank you for making our first visit to Breakfast Republic a memorable one! You are what makes a difference in peoples lifes. Goes to show that no matter what one does, one can make a great difference in others lifes.
My nephew will serve our country with PRIDE and HONOR. Just as Eric serves his community and those that visit with the same PRIDE and HONOR. Thank you again Eric.
Go to this place! Have patience if you go on Saturday.everything was delicious with plenty of options for all types of taste buds.
My first breakfast here in San Diego coming from Atlanta. Loved it, everyone was super friendly. Warm vibes on a chilly morning. Couldn't ask for a better wake up in Cali!
There was a wait of about 20 min to get a table for lunch on a Friday. The pancake trio is fun - the best by far was the lemon coconut! The Presley French toast is to die for! Cold brew coffee with coffee ice cubes yes please.
A big thanks to Jeanine - she is server-extraordinaire! I love the vegan options at this restaurant Often pretty busy, but worth the wait!
Food was great! This is not a usual for me but I had a good time. We had the s'mores French toast and the cheesecake pancakes.
Nice breakfast selections that actually taste very good! Indoor & outdoor seating available. Recommend earlier breakfast weekdays. Weekends are crazy crowded w/ long line!
The overall quality of the food is good but our sides (potatoes) came out cold/room temp which was disappointing but not a major thing. There was quite a wait (10 min) between when we were seated and when our waiter took our drink order but they were very busy at that time.
My waitress Kenady suggested the Jurassic Pork Egg Benedict with avocado. All I have to say is “Wow”! This dish was phenomenal and had it paired with a Chamango Mimosa how yummy! Thanks for the suggestion! Everything was superb and on point. Service was spectacular!
Love the customer service here. Everyone is so nice and the drinks and food are really good. I'll definitely be going back to this BR soon!
Good was yummy, outdoor seating, carseat set up for infant, service prompt. Only negative was loud planes, but that wouldn't stop us from returning.
First time stoping there and it was good B helped us she was awesome! She tended to us and kept coming back to make sure we was well taken care of the food was delicious.
If you want an awesome breakfast this is the place. Probably the best place I've eaten breakfast at. The food was great and the staff was fantastic. Kudos to breakfast republic
It was very busy I thought my waitress was going to leave in the middle of my drink order. When I received my drink it came with a hair. So I decided to order a coffee and cream instead, with no utensils to stir it with but, thankfully on the house. When I received my food order i asked the kind lady for utensils, she was able to get me some.
Food is really good and the bloody Mary is pretty good also. I got the breakfast burger. It was awesome! There is also lots of other cool stuff around Liberty station
Very disappointed. Hubby had the Monte Christo. It was advertised as having fresh Raspberries and a raspberry sauce. He got some kind of smashed Raspberry stuff on the side.
I ordered the Machaca, bad choice. The machaca turned out to be a completely tasteless scrambled egg mess. The beef was obviously boiled (to death and stringy) and had no flavor whatsoever. Both the refried beans (watered down and tasteless) and the Spanish Rice were cold.
I sent the machaca plate back and ordered the American Breakfast instead (eggs over medium, hash browns, sausage, sourdough toast). Eggs were perfect. Hash browns were mushy and tasteless, toast was dry.
First time at this restaurant, arrived around 1: 00. I got seated in the patio. Told server or hostess or whoever they were that I was waiting for 1 other person. I was perusing the menu for about 10 minutes and a different guy came to me and asked if anyone has helped me (take drink order, etc.) To which I answered no. He apologized profusely. Wanted to try the unlimited strawberry lemonade, I was told they ran out. Wow, no one could make more? There was 2 more hours left before they closed. The guy who ended up seating me Was My server, hhhmmm go figure. Then after my friend arrived another gal came over. Honestly I was so confused as to who our server was, but they all were nice, just maybe a tad inexperienced? After we got our food, no one came by to ask how the food was if we needed anything else. No one ever refreshed our water glasses and mind you it was slow, hardly anyone was there. What I ordered was something like jalapeño cheddar omelet, it was alright. I ordered up and got the home fries with Brussel sprouts, the servers really talked it up. Honestly it was just dry, I was not impressed, more potatoes than Brussel sprouts, not evenly proportioned, I should have just got the potatoes and not pay an extra amount for a few Brussel sprouts. I don't mean to seem so negative, but honestly this was my experience for my first time and I have no desire to come back.
