Alright! It's me again for the second time. I visited in March and had to comeback. I was able to bring my mom and brother from Atlanta over to "the spot. "
Customer service was at an all time high! So high the waiter remembered me from the last time! Super impressive, especially when you have so many customers throughout the year. Anyways, my brother and mom could not stop talking about how great everything was.and of course, I had to order my hot chocolate that nobody on the strip can do like Breakfast Republic.
I highly recommend this place. I will tell all of my friends and family to come and enjoy the food experience.

Pre-departure breakfast with family as we prepared to leave the San Diego area. Love the location! Great little table out back that afforded us some sense of privacy. Coffee was excellent! Food was delicious and prices - well, our BIL picked up the tab! Highly recommend!

The atmosphere is really cool, the menu is full of creative spin-offs on classics with a few odd sounding breakfast options that really work well! For example, my go-to is the Breakfast Jambalaya.

My wife and I make it a point to bring friends and visitors here for breakfast! This serves as proof that we think it’s worth return trips. Would highly recommend planning ahead though - wait times for a table on weekends can be pretty lengthy.

I don't understand how this place get these many stars! I guess it's big chain. We are local family who after couple times going for a breakfast, swore to God to never come back. First of all there was never a kind, frendly hostess who know how to communicate customers. There is a girl with a mini skirt who cares more about how her legs look than saying people good morning and have them seated, and very arrogant demeanor she thinks she is something but cant even do a basic hosting job right Really? Waitresses.they either took our orders wrong, or bring order missing.yes once my family of four waited for an hour to get us breakfast they brought none for me and they are not even apologized at all, I said no thank you for getting me a new plate because we did not wanted to wait another 45 min for a new plate. 3 times we waited for a freaking breakfast to come for an hour and every time something was wrong in our order. Unbelievable! Move out of OB and gave that beautiful spot to a great restaurant we would like to go eat. You are wasting a place in our tow!

Went today (Monday at 11am) for the first time and liked it a lot. Shared the San Diego Benedict and it was delicious. Sat at the counter looking outside. Vibe was chill and relaxing. Service was good. Will be back.

The service was really slow. It took over 30 minutes to get our drinks, about an hour for food, and another 30 minutes for our bill. However, the food was delicious and they did make it right by taking our drinks off of the bill. It is a really cute place.

Amazing drink selection, one one the most expansive out there, and the number and quality of the vegan options… WOW! Just wow! This restaurant is amazing, and the hours of operation are borderline unfair! Once you go here, you’ll wish they were open for longer too so you could go back again and again!

First off, I want to say that the location and food was great. However, I did not have a problem until our food was served. Upon being served after happily waiting 30-35 minutes. My partners food was served with avocado that was not ordered, but this was not the problem. The problem was in the handoff of the food, our server was not the problem, one of the cooks runs over and snatches my girlfriend plate, runs off and returns it without the avocado. He made no comments or gave us the chance to say anything.

Wasn't really blown away with the food the breakfast, for a group of three none of us were impressed with our meals. One got the s'mores french toast but it didn't have chocolate, my sandwich tasted good but poorly constructed and the potatoes were extremely plain. The coffee was fine.
Overall, the food is okay and the ambiance is nice. You could do worse but you could probably do better.

1st visit.couldn't have been more pleased. Service was good, water glass never dry, coffee cup never empty (thanks Jacquie). I'll add photos later (different device). Had the shrimp and grits and potatoes with brussel sprouts and bacon. Shrimp & Grits serving was very good and loaded with large shrimp.potato bowl was full as well (unique combination but good).

There are additional pics because we returned the next morning. Had the Breakfast Sammie (subbed the sourdough for English muffin) w/ jurassic bacon. Very good. They seemed short staffed on this visit so they were running their feet off but they kept up fairly well.

I'm a huge fan of Breakfast Republic, having been to most of the locations - but this one could use some improvement. Service wasn't great though they didn't seem very crowded; the waitress didn't check in with us at all between taking our food order and bringing us the bill. They brought out eggs over easy instead of scrambled, we asked for extra jam which never arrived, and the portions seemed much smaller than usual. They also didn't refill our coffee at all. The food still tasted great as usual, but compared to their other locations, this left a little to be desired.

Overall tasty food and a fun vibe. The vegan Jammin Bennie was amazing, definitely defied my expectations and 1000x than that of Kindred.

The peach pancakes tasted weird to me and I didn’t like them — some kind of strong cream of tartar/almost baking soda flavor. That said the people I was with like them, so maybe it’s a me problem.

The big downside was how much more expensive the vegan options were — I don’t know if I would come back given the prices.

Not sure what happened but this place has taken a huge dive. I live in town and have been here several times over the years. Today, I had the worst service I've ever experienced. My boyfriend and I ordered drinks and food. I wanted the breakfast burrito with the meatless beef and fakon. The waitress convinced me to order the vegan burrito but sub real eggs and cheese. My burrito comes out first. No eggs and real cheese. Then the waitress comes by and realizes the drinks haven't made it. She assures us they're coming out. Later comes back and we have to confirm the drink order. Drinks finally make it. She asks what my boyfriend ordered. That dish gets rushed out and the meat he asked for as an add-on is missing. We say nothing at this point. The waitress comps his entree and brings the check. I see I'm charged to ADD cheese to my burrito. On top of the horrible service, the food was bland. Needless to say this was a huge disappointment and we won't be back.

Staff are so friendly and the food is amazing, extremely helpful with making the final menu decision for a delicious breakfast. Definitely did not go wrong with Strawberry Mascarpone French toasts and lightly sweetened cold brew.

EXCELLENCE! There are so many appealing items on the menu that i would love to try. However (comma) when I saw the Mr. Presley on the menu, I had to try it! I found it very interesting that syrup is served with this french toast. The flavors come together so well the syrup didn't bring anything to the game! But wait, there's more! The young lady that took care of us was very kind and friendly, she made the experience more enjoyable!

30 minutes after they open we walked upstairs. Chef and a few others were sitting at a table. Looking at us. We stood there for a few minutes. No one moved, said anything or came over to help us. Other customers were in the corner eating. Very rude. If you're closed say so, if you're not just tell me that you're in a meeting or something. What a shame i was very excited to try.
