This is one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We had a reservation for 8pm. We arrived on time but we weren't seated until 8.40pm. The starters didn't come until just after 9.10pm and the starters didn't arrive together so my wife's food got cold whilst waiting for mine (almost 15 minutes). Food wise, I really enjoyed my steak but my wife did not enjoy her food at all. She isn't very fussy so I know it's serious when she complains. The atmosphere was very vibrant. It's a busy restaurant downtown and can be quite noisy, which was fine for us but may not work for other diners. The staff themselves were polite but the service structure in place has them fighting a losing battle as it's unacceptable for us to be waiting that long to be seated and eating, plus general service rules like bringing out all starters together. All in all, I won't go there again and would advise my peers to avoid based on our terrible experience

I love this place but I was very disappointed with the attitude of one of the host who was behind the counter when we arrived at the restaurant. He was not friendly at all. We come here at least 3-4 times a year with family and friends but I probably will not go back.

Took some friends from NYC and had the absolute best time! The staff is lovely and knowledgeable about the whole menu! Everything we had was phenomenal. We had the zucchini blossoms and burrata to start, both 10/10. Then we had a pizza, the dough was light and tasty, honestly one of the best pizzas i have had. We had three pastas and the gnocchi was a table favorite and was to die for. Cocktails were delicious! There was plenty for our vegetarian to eat as well! Over all amazing dinner and would highly recommend!

So the Arts District in Los Angeles is on fire with so many great places to eat. Brera Ristorante is one of those places to enjoy. Our family was in from out of town and they are real foodies wanting only the best. They were really happy with the craft cocktails and the delicious food. I had the pasta dish and it was delicious. We had a great time there and will be back again.

We can’t wait to come here again!

My wife is such a fan on so many levels.

First, Naum was fantastic. Attentive, and took the time to ask what we wanted.

Second, the food. Oh my god! Yummy. Pizza is amazing. Gnocchi is yummy. Tiramisu is yummy. Did I say the food I yummy?

Lastly the ambiance is fun, lively and open. Indoors is amazing - open space and worth it for any party.

We will visit again and can’t wait!

Francine and Jennifer the staff is just so warm and welcoming! I truly can’t wait to come back…

Some California friends raved about Brera, so I was excited to try it while in Los Angeles. Big disappointment. Overrated, overpriced and underwhelming. Ordered the Pesto Gnocchi, and it was bland, boring, and just blah. Where was the garlic in the pesto? Obviously hiding. I might as well have bought McDonald’s fries and dipped in store bought pesto sauce. The taste would have been the same but the price 10x cheaper. Italy called and wants Brera to name their imitation dish potato au boring.

Extremely basic under-seasoned food. Our table of 12 ordered 9 different dishes and all but the gnocchi were just basic… good vibes and great ambiance… too bad!

Off the beaten path in the arts district.place was almost empty for our early reservation, but the food and service were top notch.

Brera is an Italian restaurant that serves high-quality dishes with fresh ingredients. It is located in the Arts District of Downtown LA in an old warehouse. The ambiance is casual but has an upscale vibe.

: : Drinks: :
I liked the Strachisc. It has mezcal, Fresno chili, Aperol, lime, agave, and basil. We also got the Bandita Rosita. This one has reposado tequila, grenadine, fennel, bitters, lemon, and sweet/dry vermouth.

: : Food: :
The Torchietti is made with extruded curly short pasta, ricotta Salata, and duckling ragu; I enjoyed this dish. I was amazed by the Coppia pizza which has fennel sausage, ricotta, arugula, san marzan, and speck. It's one of the best pizzas I've tasted; I liked the flavor a lot! The braised pork shank was served with potatoes, pea shoots, and natural jus reduction; it was very tender. We also got the Brussel Sprouts Salad and Beef Cheek.

: : Desserts: :
Both of the desserts were tasty. We got the Almond Cake and Tiramisu.

: : Customer Service: :
The staff was friendly and welcoming

: : Highlight: :
The Coppola pizza was delicious!

: : Tip: :
Make reservations

: : Notes: :
-Indoor and outdoor seating
-Valet and street parking

What a great place. Everything we had was exquisite. The appetizers, salads, the pastas, and the steaks. All of it on point.

Our server was exceptional and attended to us with style, grace, and perfect timing.

Pricing is not cheap.

We will be back.

This was our best experience in Vegas. The waiter was so entertaining and the food was incredible! We will go there every time we are in Vegas from now on!

This place just strikes me as another ridiculously overpriced L. A.restaurant. Went there with a friend one evening earlier this week. From the beginning, the hostess didn't seem to have our reservation for an outside table at 6 pm. At that time, the inside seating area was completely empty-and I mean there was no one there. There was one large table on the outside patio that was occupied. I'm not sure what was going on with her list.she took us to a table anyway without confirming whether she actually found the reservation or not. This particular table has an upholstered bench on one side and no chairs, so we were seated next to each other. This was fine as the other party on the patio was pretty loud so it helped us hear each other speaking, and they offered to turn on a heater for us which was nice although it wasn't particularly cold out. However, after sitting there maybe 10 minutes, a guy comes out (I guess the manager?) stating that the table had been reserved already for someone else, and asks us to move to another table. The only other table on the open part of the outside patio was a very small one better suited for one person than two considering the size of their plates and dishes. It was definitely a demotion.

No issues with our waiter, he was attentive although again, when we arrived there was hardly anyone there. I am puzzled by the prices of their entrées however. The cheapest pasta dish is $24 I believe. We ordered Caesar Salad as an appetizer which was maybe $15 and it's like 6 Romaine leaves on a plate with some dressing drizzled on them. Definitely not worth it. My friend ordered octopus which appeared to be one cooked octopus arm in some sauce. Was also around $15 if I'm not mistaken. Although I was looking forward to ordering Ravioli which was listed on their online menu as posted on Google, when we got there Ravioli wasn't offered at all. It wasn't even listed on their paper menu. I asked the waiter and he said that he maybe had some and went to check, but he returned confirming that they didn't have it. I ordered Gnocci instead which tasted fine but wasn't worth the $25 price. My friend ordered a Lamb Ragu which again, tasted fine but wasn't worth the $26 price. We had one cocktail each. We did order Tiramisu for dessert which they gave us for "free" because of the inconvenience of being squeezed into what is essentially a table for one. Total price for both of us even without the dessert charge was over $140.00. My friend took about half of his lamb ragu home in a to-go box. I left the remainder of my gnocci on the table. Definitely won't be back. I only give it three stars because the waiter was nice and the space is lovely. I have to assume that is what you're actually paying for-the lease on the space since the food is just not worth it.

Ambient is nice, service is great, drinks were delicious for a hot Spring day in Los Angeles. Food.not so great. My tagliatelle tasted like something out of a hamburger helper, my friends gnocchi was ok if you were not looking forward to dinner. Not pictured, their fresh baked bread, that was delicious.

Valentine’s Day dinner

The wine selection is amazing. Food was pretty good. Only one pasta dish was dry and not so delicious. The bread was to die for. The ribeye was pretty good, over priced for a 24 day dry age but cooked perfectly.

Service was horrible. In-n-out has better service. The only reason this doesn’t get 4 stars is because we cannot look past this.

If the service was on par then the experience would have been amazing and I would refer clients. Would have loved to know what the desert menu was or more wine but our waiter never returned even after an hour after being done eating.

Ambiance is great for business meetings to large parties.

This place truly is a metaphor for the saying there is a light at the end of the tunnel, for after passing sixth Street you’ll find yourself a great restaurant. Major fan of the appetizers, had about one of everything and all of which were very delicious. Cocktail menu was also very creative. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the entrées. Had a sampling of about one of everything on the menu as I came with a large party. It felt like each dish was just missing a little something to put it over the top. I think my personal favorites from this place would have to be the steak tartare and the hamachi. Of the entrées the gnocchi was my favorite.

Service is great. While the place was packed, server still had time to answer questions about the menu and deliver food in a timely manner.

Atmosphere is definitely industrial like and has a open floor plan. Not a big fan of the acoustics, with average dB definitely into the 80s and 90s on a crowded Saturday night, which is pretty loud.

Food - 15/20
Service - 8/10
Atmosphere - 6/10

Total score - 29/40 - great restaurant.

Vibe: open ceiling, brick elements, modern. Full bar, craft cocktails, decent wine list. American Italian flair.

Food: mostly good to decent. Nothing was bad, but nothing was amazing.
Ordered the grilled polpo, burrata salad, fresh baked bread with red pepper essence and whipped ricotta, margherita pizza, gnocchi.
Again, while everything was pretty good, everything also could have used a little something more. The tomato sauce of the gnocchi was really well balanced and delicious, but missed a certain savory profile.

Service: mostly very friendly. The supervisor and bussers were uber efficient in taking away empty bottles and plates, but our server was pretty scarce. He came to us after seeing 3 other tables that were seated later than us, and even after taking our order, he didn't seem interested in how we were doing. Other than taking our initial order, the other staff did most of the work.

The restaurant was great but the parking space was horrible. We got charge $67 for an hour parking because we did not pay for parking ahead. We went there on new year’s Eve and we had a very bad experience not recommend going there at all.
