Bridges Restaurant and Bar, Danville CA

Had a celebration lunch at this establishment. Could not believe this was my first time dining at this place. I didn’t even know if there was ample parking (it did) so I parked far away. Lol

The waitress missed my Arnold Palmer drink the first time, so when it was time to order food, I got a Bridges Manhattan instead. I love Manhattans and make my own, but this was pretty good. The appetizers were all quite delicious, but the truffle fried felt a bit dry (you could even see from the photo).

A few entrees that I wanted to try, but I decided on the stir fried Mexican prawns with Thai red curry sauce. I must admit that it was a huge plate. However, much of it was the thin noodle. I liked this pairing, but at the end of the meal, I thought perhaps there was a bit too much carb. LOL The prawns were a good size and the curry sauce was great.

The ambiance was great so I could why people like this place. Yes, I would come back again~ =)

The experience is great and their staffs were super nice. They have good selection of food and it was cooked well.

This place has been around forever but always manages to keep everything fresh and exciting!

Service is excellent and it’s very tastefully decorated at a reasonable price

My friend and I stumbled into Bridges this past summer in the late afternoon. We were seated even though it was close to the mid-day break. We were never rushed and throughly enjoyed ourselves.

Being vegan, there were no real options for me but I ordered a salad and fries and they were as delicious as those items can get.

What a cute quaint place to dine! We happened to be in Danville for ann anppointment and had to try this place because of Mrs Doubtfire - Robin Williams movie. The food was great and the atmosphere was just like the movie. The staff made it fun for us!

I had heard about this place from my friends (I'm actually an international secret agent, but don't tell anyone) and they spoke very highly of it. It also turned out to be the favorite restaurant of the woman I was dating at the time.

So I decided to take her and her children out for her birthday. I also invited their nanny/house keeper because they all absolutely adored her.

Dinner started out fine, but the nanny kept leaving for various medical reasons. I ordered the jambalaya, and specifically asked for no pepper because of an allergy.

They didn't get it right, and I had pepper on my plate and I started choking due to my allergy. The family's nanny performed the heimlich maneuver and was able to stop my choking.

But then it turned out that the nanny was actually the woman's ex-husband and that he had been holding up his charade for quite awhile. My girlfriend was quite distressed by the whole experience and demanded that we leave immediately.

I actually didn't stay with her much longer after that because 1) the whole experience was very traumatic for me. 2) I had an assignment with work that required me to do some training of other agents in New York, and that led to me having to kill my best friend whom I had thought long dead, but was actually working for the bad guys, but that is a story for another day.

The ex-husband did apologize for putting the pepper on my food, so it had nothing to do with the restaurant staff, so hence the 5 star rating, I would try them again.

Great atmosphere and service! Food and wine were amazing. Location is friendly, worth the experience. Highly recommend!

We ate here today. We waited a long time to get our drinks, maybe 1 hour, and waited longer to order. They didn’t bring all the drinks after waiting so long. There were two waiters and we ended up with a gentleman that was very nice but by the time we ordered we were all pretty much over it. We had to ask to order appetizers, and that took awhile. The meals came at different times. The chicken salad was bland and dry. They took all our silverware when they cleared off the appetizers, so we had to ask for new sets of silverware. It was a lot of work to get what we needed. The waffles didn’t come with butter, had to ask. My meal was the best, avocado and salmon on crispy bread - it was missing feta as the menu mentioned. The bruschetta was good but they ran out of mozzarella - and it was two big pieces of French bread, would have been better if we had several smaller pieces! The fries were good but not the best quality. They clearly don’t have it together. They brought the birthday boy a cupcake and it was so tiny, they realized they didn’t need to bring forks for everyone.

It was one of my dreams to visit San Francisco and have dinner at this restaurant in Danville. Mrs Doubtfire is one of my childhood movies and I just couldn't wait to see this restaurant! Food was excellent same as the service.

What has happened to Bridges? This will be our last visit at a place that once was decent, but now has officially gone downhill to the point of no return. Bread tonight was cold and stale. Pretty sure the chicken was undercooked on the grilled chicken caesar: out of caution we only ate the lettuce. Edamame had no taste and hardly any togaroshi, mostly just an insipid oil. Vegetable risotto was completely tasteless and just so gross we only ate two bites. We tasted the lentil soup and realized we still had functioning tastebuds. Atmosphere was lovely as usual and wait staff were friendly as always. Otherwise a culinary bust. Sad. This was our third straight awful dinner. Goodbye Bridges.: - (

First time and it didn't disappoint. Every aspect of the Night was solid. The service was great, the drinks were on point, and the food was money. Huge desert menu with some nice cocktails. Highly recommend.

My first time going there. Atmosphere great inside and outside plus great service. Food was great for everyone. Recommend highly try if have not try.

Had a great birthday brunch and the staff was super accommodating and did a fantastic job. Service was a little slow apparently there was a 20 plus table ahead of us, so no fault. We enjoyed our brunch and would come back. My burger was delicious but I do prefer pretzel roll and a little greens for the plate. The jalapeno mimosa was good too. Otherwise no complaints and thank you!

Good place for dinner!
The drinks and food was great! The shrimp and sea bass special for April was tasty and there was a kid friendly menu as well!
We will be back again!

We went to Bridges for a Birthday party and he waiters made the experience amazing. They brought a cupcake on the house and wrote Happy Birthday in chocolate syrup.
