Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar, San Diego CA

We have eaten at another location and was in San Diego for the day so we took our out of town guest to eat. I ordered the Mahi it was barely warm and half of it was raw, the rice it was served with was also raw. Since eating the appetizer and salad and not wanting to waste food I informed my waitress I would just take it home and recook it. The next day the fish smelled so bad even my dogs wouldn't eat it so a $36 dinner ended up in the trash anyway. Maybe I should have sent back at least I could have ordered another meal instead of wasting money for the establishment I wasted my own hard earned money.

We ate here last weekend and ordered the glazed salmon and a salad. Before I even tasted the salmon, I could smell it was fishy. Then I tasted it and it was very odd tasting. We don't like sending food back because.well you know. I left most of it on my plate. This tourist style and bar-fly restaurant has mediocre seafood at best, but a least you get to sit at the water. We are local but we won't return.

A good place to sit, on a Sunday morning to share with the family, with a beautiful view of the sea.

Steak on chilaquiles was wonderfully seasoned and full of flavor

This is a great spot located on the waterfront in downtown San Diego. We had dinner on the patio after sunset and had an amazing view of the Bay. The food is okay, our best dish was the crab fondue appetizer. The margaritas were also very good. The prices online don't reflect their current prices, as most items are higher priced now. You do get a good amount of food for the price though. The best part of our experience was the service and view. We had a great waiter that was very attentive and enjoyable to talk to. Highly recommend this place for nice seafood dinner.

View is good with good service (a little bit pricy tho.). Food is good but the alcohol is not so tasty

We came here for new years eve as a last min booking. The lady that served us was really lovely with a cracking sense of humour. I always have a million questions regarding food and can never make my mind up lol.

We started with oysters and octopus, both lovely. The octopus was extremely tender. To follow I had the fillet mignon and husband had the wagyu burger, both cooked to perfection.

Visiting San Diego and this wonderful restaurant was in walking distance from our hotel. Everything was so delicious, and my bf and I cleaned every plate we had. The prices are honestly very reasonable, given the location/views, and the quality of the food. Tyler, our server, was also nothing short of lovely. Highly recommend the Brussel sprouts! Would love to come back if we are ever in town again.

My partner and I stopped in for a light lunch and we loved the location and ambiance of the restaurant. Our service was friendly and quick.

We ordered the following:

Brig clam chowder: 3/5 The chowder was very creamy and at first very tasty. However, the saltiness started to build up and it was hard to finish even though I only ordered a cup.

3 grilled oysters: 1/5 These oysters were bathed in a sauce and had wonton strips all over it. The oysters were very mediocre, nothing special at all and I didn't like how gritty they were.

Crab stuffed jumbo prawns: 2/5 The grilled veggies were great, but the prawns themselves were so salty and hard to eat. I wish the food was seasoned with more spices rather than just salt.

Great food, amazing service, and a beautiful view. Outside seating is perfect for San Diego weather except for when it's windy. I definitely will be back.

If you love eating delicious food with amazing views, this restaurant is your place! The staff are super friendly and attentive from the moment you walk through the door. The lobster tacos are a MUST try! They also have plenty of heaters outside, so you can enjoy your meal out by the water during any time of the year.

What a fantastic dinner. We started with many appetizers- octopus, Brussel sprouts, crab cake, and oysters. Everything was delicious but the octopus was cooked perfectly!

I shared the crab stuff shrimp for dinner and they were great and plated them separately.

We tried a few of the desserts - all were very good - but the creme brûlée.

Service was really good.

I love the food, but the service was not great. We had to beg for drinks, to order, the bill. It was NOT busy and there were 3 bartenders. They couldn't have cared less that we were there.

Sitting by the bay at sunset with the best Ahi Tuna ever. Bucket list experience. Hunter excellent service

Wonderful. Great for eating seafood with a beautiful view. The octopus starter was excellent. First time I ate swordfish. It was delicious.

The restaurant has great atmosphere and our waitress was exceptional but the food was really bad. The location in Del Mar has fresher food than this location. I sent the artichoke fritters back twice because they tasted so bad. I am now very sick and can’t stop throwing up. They were really nice and took it back but there was something wrong /rancid with the food

Was excellent experience, more than what I expected. This is not our first time visiting Brigantine, every time we visit California, we like to gather enjoy the view and best food.
This time was a special having parents and parents in law for a new year gathering when we get in I didn’t the table was reserved, I’m glad I had to meet Elizabeth in two minutes. She was able to set us in the best location for everybody to enjoy the view.
Service was amazing, Food is one of the best of San Diego seafood.
