Bright Smile Dental, Citrus Heights CA

On January 19,2023 I received a call from Midwest Fidelity who are a collections agency stating I owed Bright Smile Dentistry $408.70. It was the first I was aware of any money owing. My last aapointment was on March 25,2021and and at the time of leaving that appointment I had my debit card out ready to pay and was told "there is nothing to pay". When I advised them that I was changing dentist and could they send my x-rays to the new dentist, nothing was mentioned of any moey owing. Again when they called me in December 2022 stating they hadn't seen me for a while, I told them that is because I left you nearly two years ago, nothing was mentioned of money owing. I called Bright Smile and tried to talk to Meg the so called manager. Straight away she abruptly said she wasn't going to discuss it. She confirmed my address and stated numerous reminders had been sent out. I tried to explain that I never received any reminders and she said she wasn't going to argue about it and hung up. It was never my intention to argue. I would have gladly paid the amount as money wasn't an issue. I called Bright Smile back and told the receptionist to go and tell Meg that she is rude, obnoxious and unprofessional and should not be in a managerial position. In addition, I never received any text messages, phone calls or emails regarding the amount owing. And had I received just one teminder, I would have paid. I called the collections agency and came to an agreeable sum to settle the account which was less than the amount owing. So because of Bright Smile's attitude and what appears to be bad record keeping, they are the ones who ended up out of pocket. TOTALLY INCOMPETENT!
