Broadway Terrace Nursery, Oakland CA

An absolutely delightful nursery! All of the staff working were lovely and very helpful, everyone was relaxed yet attentive! The selection of outdoor plants, indoor plants and succulents were great, lots of verity and some cool unusual gems too. The plants all looked healthy and well cared for even the discount plants were in good condition. I got a very unique Hoya, three super strange and beautiful succulents and a stag horn fern, all plants I’ve been wanting for a while but haven’t been able to find, let alone at such good prices! I highly recommend visiting!

Cute plants, super ditzy workers though. Most dont even know what the names of ANY OF THE PLANTS, or knows how to take care of them. One worker tried flirting with me while we tried checking out, which made my partner and i both EXTREMELY uncomfortable (didnt catch her name but she was asian). (Great if you had workers that didnt "bother" with people twice their age that rnt interested.) the only one helpful was a very kind man (again never caught his names but has braided or dreaded hair) give props to him, suggest yall fire some of the women. I had friends with the same issues. Dry gardens nursery has better buisness then here.

This is my favorite nursery for the selection, but also the friendliness of the staff and knowledge of different plant issues. They can special order plants and find seeds I haven’t been able to get elsewhere, and I never regret a trip here.
What’s especially nice is the small business across the way: I can grab a coffee and walk through looking at all the plants. Highly recommend!

This is my second time coming here. They’ve changed their inventory slightly. They always have awesome things. Make sure to to check out their indoor plant selection. Very nice plants of many species.

This place is beautiful! They have a lot of dry plants that are well taken care of. The price is right for anyone who wants to start a nice plant collection in their home.

Not enforcing face masks. Woman claimed she had “medical condition” which prevented her from wearing a mask, which, according to physicians is made up for excuse which “anti-maskers“ recommend defending by citing HIPAA. She was asked to wear mask but refused and entered, walking all over. People had to avoid her. I left. I’ve been going here since it opened, decades, but will not come again until they get their act together.

Very friendly staff, they have veg, seeds, starters, indoor outdoor plants and all the vessels and soil additives. Plus, I’m a beautiful outdoor space!

This place is great; friendly and knowledgeable staff, a great selection of indoor and outdoor plants, we bought a lovely indoor plant here last weekend and we just had a plant of ours repotted here to save the mess for us at home, it was quick and inexpensive. Our go-to nursery.

Umut was super helpful and knowledgeable about all the types and care instructions for the plants— had a great time and took home a monstera deliciosa

Great selection and helpful staff! I've been coming to them for a number of gifting occasions (Mother's Day, Teacher Appreciation, etc.) and have also purchased indoor and outdoor plants here. All of the plants are exceptionally healthy and well taken care of, and I get lots of advice to keep them that way!

Very helpful staff! They have a large selection of outdoor plants (succulents, etc.) and a smaller but good variety of indoor plants. They helped suggest indoor plants appropriate for the amount of light we have in our home. Beautiful options for pots too.

My favorite nursery! I always enjoy coming here. They have unique plants and flowers that you just don't see everywhere.

It's all about the layout! That's where they excel! Creativity is their middle name! I love the way they merchandise their plants. Mixing sizes with different shapes and colors displayed on round stands and and the end gap of every aisle. I want to buy them all!

Today I purchased a beautiful yellow begonia! It really is breathtaking and only $30.00. This plant is a huge hanging plant! See my pics below.

I purchased so many plants and gifts over the past year. I love how they add moss to a planter to give it that special touch and spray the leaves with plant shine! You can never go wrong shopping here. Everything is spectacular.

They tell you a price and then increase it at the cashier. Staff is not very professional. I recommend going elsewhere.
