Broken Yolk Cafe

Food is always very good here. It can take a while to get, but they are very busy. It was our first time at this location, and they did not disappoint.

We had the WORST experience. We waited 30 minutes for a table and finally got seated on the patio. We soon realized our experience was going to be bad. The table next to us had 4 dogs and one dog was unleashed and appeared to be a pitbull mix. Two other tables had dogs and they were all barking at each other. Terrible ambiance! I didn't know I was going to eat at a dark park. We ordered coffee and it was cold and tasteless, server never offered refills and it was $4 for a cup and it was disgusting. We ordered avocado toast and the bread was sogging (not toasted) and the arugula was old, yellow, wilted and slimy. The avocado was old and had no flavor, no seasoning no lime added. NOTHING! We couldn't even drink the water because it tasted like chlorine. This was by far the worst overall experience.

Went here this morning for the 1st time. Had the Classic Eggs Benedict and coffee. Food was tasty, really good coffee, service was good and servers friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Had another great experience here at the broken yolk cafe in La Quinta, ordered the ranchero skillet with eggs over medium, my son had some great options of one entree and 2 sides which was a pancake sausage and fruit, and my boyfriend fuego omelette. All was so delicious, and is every time we go. We even got to have a one on one with the manager ‘Billy from Philly’ and he is all the energy, professionalism, and expertise when it comes to running a restaurant. I myself have worked in food and beverage for many years in the desert, and admire all that this manager brings to the table which includes his charismatic friendly staff. 10/10 love this place.

We came in for breakfast and I ordered crispy hash browns. When they were served not only were they not crispy about half were raw. I sent them back to be cooked properly they were returned no better than before. I did not say anything but since this was the first time we ate there as we had just moved to this area, I told my wife we will not be going back. The next thing I knew a plate with perfectly cooked hash browns were delivered to our table. Then our server “Crystal “ arrived and told us that she had noticed the second batch of hash browns were not prepared correctly and she went to the kitchen and made sure they were cooked properly. I am a retired Chef. I told her we had decided not to return to the restaurant but she changed our mind and we will be back. I tipped her 50 percent and thanked her. We will return and hope our next visits will be a good an experience as we had today.

Broken Yolk has always done a good job whenever the family and I stop in. The food is always tasty. As such, they are popular, and can get pretty busy, but I’ve never had to wait too long. Thanks!

Really bad service, waited 15 minutes for the waiter to come and take the order, and 30 more minutes to get the food, I ordered eggs with links and hash brown, they brought a plate with 2 links and hash browns with no eggs, I mean really? Not going back

We've been visiting this establishment for close to a decade and clearly we enjoy the food, since we are returning locals. This mornings experience was a little off, due to them being very busy, which the owner was open enough to discuss with our family. When we had got seated, another family was seated afterward and was a person smaller in party size. The other family was tended to before us and as result served prior to us. Whereas, we had to flag down a bus boy who was able
to find us a waiter, who was nice to have eventually took our table on because it appeared no one was actually assigned to us. When the owner dropped by our table to ask about our experience, he was apologetic and heard us out. But, also made it clear to us the volume of the restaurant being hard to accommodate to the size and output of the kitchen during a rush. He also mentioned the possibility, that the other table, that was served first, could have ordered simpler dishes that could be prepared at a faster rate than ours. This is a great breakfast spot overall and Oscar was an awesome server taking us on to make things right during the rush. Our food was delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you order here

Allah made our visit a memorable one! He’s a great supervisor and great bartender. We look forward to seeing him, Billy from Philly, and Alisha again! We also look forward to visiting Billy’s other Broken Yolk locations.

I never been here before and I wanted to try a new breakfast stop. I could decide what I wanted so I can the trio. It had a cinnamon pancake, cornflakes French toast and a Hawaiian sweet roll. So good, I'll be back.

Tasty food, friendly family restaurant, prices are reasonable. Long waiting list but is worth the wait.

Egg Benedict looked amazing but overcooked. Food runner needs training asap and servers looked unmotivated.

Sooo Disappointed With they Border Benedict first they change to small balls and They we Sooo Hard couldn't cut even with steak knife Server did bring new one but The Same Hard As Rocks! No Supervisor available. You figure for the price $17.95? The Server did offer half off. We will Never Return Sooo Sad!
