Broken Yolk Cafe

I ordered a pickup order of the cali omelet and some fruit and a caramel latte. I arrived about 10 minutes after the food was ready for pickup but ended up waiting 10 more minutes to get the food. Upon inspection the omelet had the wrong cheese and the fruit consisted of 5 chunks of squishy fruit and the eggs smelled so strong of sulfur. Additionally the milk in my latte was not almond milk but 2 percent and made my stomach hurt. I had such high hopes for this newer store but was honestly just disappointed in the level of service and lack of attention to details.

Great place and so close to home! Eggs Benedict and Avocado toast were both terrific! Pet friendly patio!

My burger was just OK. I should have gone with a breakfast meal even though we were there in the afternoon.

I met my really good friend here, when we arrived it was already busy it was 1130am, but we she wanted to eat brunch and have mimosas so I chose this place. Broken Yolk is always my go to, this location is great. I don't think I've been to any other location, well I think Misson Valley a long time ago. But we really enjoyed our time here, our food was delicious and hot. Our drinks were good we ordered double mimosas. Our waiter was nice and polite, she was patient as I get indecisive at times. Our food came out quick and we ate, drank and had a great time. Keep up good work Broken Yolk Cafe employess!

That was my first time here i recommend any one should coming here and Yessenia thanks alot for great service you was so kind and professional.

Nice and big breakfast menu. I had the traditional eggs Benedict that was very good. My wife has the stuffed french toast that she enjoyed. Lots of traditional and unique meals available. Busy place Saturday mornings, but service was still good.

Great food! Got a seat right away. Pancakes and a Denver omelette definitely make me like coming back to this place.

We waited for a table for almost 45 minutes when we were seated. We wait another 10 minutes for a server to get there when she get there, she didn’t look happy well finally, we get the food then at the end, she print the check and bring it to us. She didn’t ask us if we wanted a separate check we were a large family so they give us all one check we ask her if we can have separate check. She say we need to talk to cashier at the front. We talked to cashier. She said the system does not do a separate check. We need the divided and pay separate so we all did that then we asked the manager she said no, the system does allowed to do that but the cashier she was so stress she started crying. We were all so calm talking to her. She say we were putting pressure on her. I don’t think she is the right person for that position. That was the worst experience ever half and broken yolk. Are usually love going to broken York with experience I have there make me think before I go there again.

Great selection of meals, but what was amazing was that they offered dairy free alternatives for your coffee. I haven't seen many diners offering dairy free options. Excellent service from the waitresses. My boyfriend and I will come back again!

Great spot with great staff. Their spicy vegan bowl is something I'll definitely come back for. Highly recommend.

Wow, wow, wow! Every time my wife and I eat here, we are never disappointed. Greek omlette was excellent! The toast was so fresh. The omlette was beautifully seasoned, and the watermelon tasted better than the watermelon at the grocery store! We met one of the owners today, Billy. Billy was totally and completely in the trenches, working side by side with his team. I have never, ever seen an owner work as hard as his employees! Used my $10 dollar birthday coupon from TBY and saw the Classic Car Show in the parking lot. So, it was a win-win! LOVE THIS PLACE! Great quality and consistantly good food. We are regulars. Wait time is worth it! Friendly staff, and snag a spot at the counter for the full menu with no wait. Great drinks of all kinds, flights of bloody marys and mimosas. Fresh and amazing!

Nice decor and ambiance, the food is lacking. Pancakes for kids dense, corn beef was lacking flavor and looked worse than it tasted. Biscuit and gravy was bland with a regrettable after taste. Bacon served, looked and tasted as if it was under the heat lamp way too long. Honestly, Denny’s is better when compared to the $ for product.

Absolutely Terrible Service!
I have tried twice getting into this place and walked out.
1. They had a cluster of customers trying to pay at the Hostess Station.
2. No one to take your name to be seated.
3. Empty tables with a gaggle of people standing outside waiting to be seated.
4. No acknowledgement that someone will help you.

This location is not worth your time and you will only get frustrated.

I cant speak for the food because I couldn't get past getting a table.

Go to the Santee location!

Had the Californian omlette, with hash browns and a bluberry muffin. Hah browns were bland with no seasoning. Omlette was supposed to have home fries, bacon and chedder cheese filling. First 3/4 of omlette only had homes, slall amount if cheese and bacon in ladt 1/4.
Outside of muffin was like eating carmelized toffee. Not enjoyable at all.
On the other hand the service was excellent and atmosphere wS pleasant. Wife had no issues with her omlette and she throughly enjoyed the mimosa flight.
Did rate the service as a 5 but reduced because they charged someone slses meal to our credit card!
Will not return here again.

Gratuity (18%) is already added to the service and still would ask for a tip on top of the bill as a whole.
Food seems just fine

The food seemed to be a bit overpriced for the quality. We had to send a dish back due to it being undercooked as well as there being less meat on the dloop e. 7cp
ish than the previous one. The replacement meat was very chewy and seemed microwaved. We sent it back again due to it being still unappetizing. The 2nd replacement dish was much better. The staff didn't want to comp the dish (was told it would be when it was sent back) until it was fully explained to the manager what all happened but she still seemed to not want to/had attitude. A few other meals were just so/so, too salty and just overpriced for the quality. Unfortunately we won't be going back to this location but have had better experiences at other ones.

Food was not great. They also mixed up my credit card with another order and charged my card for both! Never going back!
