My 7 month old son had an appointment today with Dr Brookenthal. The office is really disorganized, after more than half and hour of waiting (with an infant, crying after that long waiting in an small room) no one came to apologize or give some kind of explanation. At this point we decided to leave.
This is unacceptable, in the middle of a pandemic having to wait that long with a baby in an office full of people. Also the employees working there are very rude, no manners at all. We are not going back. They should know better how to schedule and how to treat patients.
We never saw the doctor, so I have no opinion about how good the doctor is.

Dr. B! My son has 2 broken ankles (1surgery) & I fracture. He’s the best! He is cautious and thorough. 100% trust.

We have had nothing but the best care both of my nephews and also my son would recommend to anyone.

Disappointing experience before we even had an office visit.i mistakenly scheduled an appointment for my injured son the day after Christmas.i left a voicemail the morning of his appointment to reschedule as he would not be home to go to the appointment - got a return call within 30 min stating that they would take a cancellation fee of $35 before they would reschedule my sons appointment. 24 hours prior to his appointment was Christmas Eve & Christmas - we were otherwise occupied. No way I'm paying $35 for NOTHING. I've never been charged a cancellation fee from any Dr office and I'm not going to start now. Given that the 48 hours prior to his appointment was a holiday, I would have hoped that they make an exception but apparently they are serious about getting their $35

Really nice Staff Dr brokenthal is one of the nicest Dr. He's caring and compassionate really good wt the kids and Manny is very help full and on top of things wen it comes to getting u set up for surgery.

Dr Brookenthal will tell you that you child needs a cast at any expense. He did this twice to us after we had an mri (nothing fractured, or even slightly fractured). He basically pushed us as hard as he could giving us his song and dance about why she needed to be in a cast simply because she was having a pain in her foot. After my husband and I disagreed completely he looked at my daughter asking what she thought. Of course she wanted a hot pink cast and crutches. We told him we were really against his decision but finally after an hour he convinced us her pain would only get worse.
As the following week went by my daughters leg became so swollen by day 5, I was about to run her to the er due to the office not being open. I couldn’t understand what was going on. The next morning I ran her in demanding they cut the cast off immediately. After about 1/2 they said ok. I asked dr b if she could be allergic to latex and he said no way. He was getting ready to put another cast on and said that her first cast was just wet. I ran as far and fast as I could out of that horrific office. Turns out after Allegry testing my 10 year old is extremely allergic to latex and if dr b put that cast back on she could have been in some serious danger!
Months passed and I receive a large bill for a cast. I called and calmly explained the situation which they had no memory of. I have now received 3 very high bills which I will never pay. They almost made my daughter very sick and she.
Never had an injury. My opinion.stay away. He wants your money!
