Beautiful store however this is what the floors looked like, it seems the cleaning people are not thorough.

Dust balls galore!

Very poor experience with two different members of staff at Stanford store this afternoon 3/19/22. The older of the two men could hardly be bothered to answer a question. The younger, less senior staff was very unsure of himself and couldn’t help us. My husband and I frequented the SF store for many years and this experience was remarkably negative. Stanford shopping center deserves way better.

I always have bought my tee shirts and underwear here. I used to go to the store on Post street in SF but it has been closed. Since under new owners, this store seemed a bit thin on merchandise. Very Americana clothing for those in a higher income bracket. This store is easy to get to and easy parking. I shop here for the high quality of the clothes and accessories. If dressing to look sharp and show status this is a great store.

We were greeted by a salesman. He was so so rude and behaved as he was the owner of Stanford Shopping Center. We tried a couple of suits then he came around us and said:
do not touch the clothes if you do not know your size. Do you just look around or you really want to buy? Here is what Brooks&Brother runs: tell me what you want, then let me get your clothes rather than directly touch them.
His serving attitude is shameful.

Long story short: if you’re not 100% sure you want to buy one from Brooks Brothers, don’t expect pleasant shopping experience with Marcus.

My fiancé and I went to Brooks Brother twice to find a suite for our wedding. The first time was extremely pleasant with Marcus and we decided to make the purchase in the second visit with him — I didn’t expect the ending at all.

In the first time when we’re also fresh to suites, Marcus recommended two suites and introduced some pros and cons. After trying them on really quick, he said he needed to have lunch and we also need to leave.

Today we called ahead to schedule the appointment. My fiancé tried the same one as the first time, which clearly needs tailoring (we didn’t realize this at the first time). He started to get rude at this point, pushing us to buy what he recommended as is because different people have different structure and they don’t offer made-to-fit. We clearly don’t want anything that does not fit, and Marcus got angry by making really big noise and discussing my fiancé’s body structure loudly with the tailor.

To be honest, we don’t want to spend too much time on this and would definitely make the purchase if it’s fit for him, and this was our intention when we visited Brooks Brothers today. I understand it would be upset for him to spend the time without any reward (since we didn’t buy in the end). However, I don’t understand why Marcus made us think it’s our fault that the suite do not fit him (as an Asian) and most importantly I also don’t understand why he became so angry in the end.

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon and they were short staffed, but I was greeted and was told someone will be with me.

Marcus was awesome. He tried to help me while he was helping another customer. Measured me and told me what sizes I should be looking at then went off to finish up with the other customer. This gave me free time to look at the suits and try them on.

This is just Brooks Brothers sales in general, but it's hard to pay $1299 for a 1818 suit when you see other 1818 $1299 suits on sale for $399-499.

Also, this is probably because of the recent rampant shoplifting going on, but you get this loud old Radio Shack beep when you walk in and leave the store making the store feel cheap.

They do not have a tailor working at the store anymore, but they kindly directed me to another tailor very close by.

I was greeted by Connie. She measured me for a new suit. She was patient and knowledgeable because I wanted to buy a few things. I walked out happy. I would definitely recommend for everyone to go see Connie.

Drove an hour from Berkeley to come to the Palo Alto store, arrived at 7: 40pm only to find out they had closed early. There were other people standing outside in the same situation and the manager was yelling at them through the door. The manager was very rude. Unfortunately Brooks Brothers is known for their high-quality suits and there aren’t many other choices here in the Bay. Decided to take my money elsewhere.

Immediately welcomed and attended to. The process of taking measurements was quick and the person attending to me was very knowledgeable.
