Brotzeit Lokal German Restaurant & Waterfront Biergarten reviews
18Delicious meats, great beer selection (plus full bar), perfect low key water front dining staff, huge portions, reasonable pricing! Staff does a great job of being attentive without being intrusive. A great place to eat and drink with a good view of the bay, and no pressure to dress up or put on makeup
I love this place. Solid and friendly staff, outdoor picnic table seating overlooking the marina. Grab a beer/drink and order a sausage plate and you're set. One thing to note- the last 2 times I've been here they were out of the bretzels. BUMMER. It would be cool if they were able to order up so they don't run out between deliveries. That's my only complaint. Besides that, I dig this place.
Finest spot to eat some food when in a rush. Their customer service is efficient, prices are affordable, awesome vibes. Will visit here again
Maaaaan get there early. They might run out of pretzels if you wait too long! If they do.hook yourself up with the fish & chips.cause they the bomb. So good.
Food, beer selection, and service are all solid. It's kind of a weird layout but it's nice they have indoor and outdoor space and the quiet waterfront location really is soothing. Biggest drawback might be limited parking on busy weekends and you pretty much have to drive or bike a long ways to get here. My go to here is the schweinshaxe because it's the only place I know of in the Bay that serves a crisp-roasted pork knuckle like in a proper Bavarian beer garden. Insane amount of food but so good! My friend got the clam chowder which was actually fantastic - definitely dip french fries in their clam chowder!
After our brunch destination turned out to be closed, we decided to drive out to Brotzeit Lokal based on a recommendation from a neighbor, and we were so glad we did. The outdoor seating and the views were delightful, and the potato pancakes were a fun substitute for English muffins on my Benedict. Everything we had was delicious. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant has a really positive, diverse vibe. We will definitely be back.
Very good food. It's a little on the expensive side but if you are willing to pay then you will surely enjoy anything on the menu. Also the beer is good.
Swastikas in the bath room. Enjoy. And where is the American flag anyway, I mean who won the war afterall?
Had the best time here. Such a fun ambience. It's the type of place that brings people together. The staff is wonderful. Great vibe. German beer is the best. Everyone has fun and gets along. But beware.it's very loud and its hard to have an intimate conversation. And food was good.not as good as German food in Deutschland but close for California. Highly recommend with friends or family. Urge someone to get a boot.
My wife and I are here last night. Lovely atmosphere, my wife had a vegan brat in a bun, I had weinerschnizel and proper English "chips" that's fries according to Americans. Excellent service from Juliana, our server. Friendly, knowledgeable and lovely to deal with. We highly recommend this restaurant.
German beer and fare at a reasonable Oakland price. Great waterside diner. Not fancy just good beer and hearty vittles.
Good, casual, indoor/outdoor place with very good German food (schnitzels, spaetzle, sausages, etc.) and a great bunch of German (and some craft) beers on tap!
We had a nice time here with friends. The service was very good. The menu was a little limited but everything we ordered was flavorful. They have a boat dock available so we came in by vessel which was very convenient. Try the sausage platter. The beer selection was very good as well.
They have a good beer selection, including, of course, proper German beers. The location is a little bit far from the city but it's worth it to spend a late afternoon enjoying the bay view, good beer and german food.
The food is good, with a good variety of sausages. The staff is friendly and efficient, very efficient. The place is dog and family friend. So if you're coming here feel free to bring your pet!
I've been here several times and I always really enjoy it. The food is good, great beer selection, you can't beat the view and they have a dog friendly patio.
Great place for hot sausage and beer, a bit pricey but I guess that accounts for the high rent by the waterfront.
My first time here and I'll be back. I'm a brat, sauerkraut, mustard, pretzel and potato salad guy. It was all great. We also had the pork shank and an apple cobbler and bread putting. Ate too much but a really great place.
High quality German food and wide selection of beers. Perfect place to hang out after an Oakland A’s day game on the weekend. Have delicious family meals for takeout. Finding the restaurant the first time can be a challenge as you drive through a hotel parking to get to it.
