I went 23 days without light in my bathroom. I requested replacement in writing, verbally, text & phone messages. The manager Theresa throws away our personal property. Our manager tells us where to walk. She takes clothes out of laundry room if it’s after her shift ends. She throws away tenants laundry carts & any item outside. Our chairs in smoking/gathering areas have been tossed out but not replaced. The pool gates are locked from the inside so we can’t swim. The spa hasn’t worked for over 70% of the time I’ve lived here. Much much more, all negative. “Why don’t we move out? ” Most of us have smaller income, not only can I not afford moving but I can’t carry my furniture now. Our rent is increased every 6 months. The office is always locked. When we try to call office the answering machine states “please enter a code to leave message”.

This company manages many apartment buildings throughout California. No owner should hire this company as it stands. They work for the RHA who has a no smoking rule within their contract with BM and in the leases. BM breaches this clause daily, has no "no smoking" signage up as required. Even their "maintenance man" is a heavy smoker against state provisions. This managment breaches the contract with the alleged owners of my senior building, RHA and tenants every day by doing absolutely nothing to evict tobacco smokers yet collects millions in tax credits from the gov. I read in the comments a contractor who states this company does not like to pay. Neither can I pay for a slumlord who is in breach of my contract everyday. The only people here who give a 5 star ratings are employees if you notice, clearly desperate people who gets paid like them for doing nothing to properly manage their assigned properties. They must evict smokers that s just the way it is.

Had a appointment with Jefferies, very personable man. Had a great experience with their company.

The man that just called me from this business was extremely rude. Talking to me in a demanding demeanor. Do better people! Don’t talk to people with a bad attitude Harrison from BUCKINGHAM PROPERTIES!

Worst at answering calls or emails, I called one of the workers who was assisting me, and it was always straight to voicemails, no follow ups, and yet no response, I am awaiting for my invoices almost been two months and no response, worst service ever!

Multiple problems and nothing is fixed within a month of filling out a work order. Shelter Cove in YC is a DUMP!
Office staff is rude and not helpful. Things are old and broken, move in was a NIGHTMARE, oven and stove top were filthy and gas burners don’t work after 5 months of living at Shelter Cove. Outlets in bathroom’s work intermittently, started smoking on a Saturday and took 4 phone calls to get a maintenance man here AFTER I said I was going to call the fire department!
STAY AWAY from BUCKINGHAM PROPERTIES!

They just took over our complex and are trying to boss us around most of us are older veterans and they could care less

They were extremely nice with because and not much later but I went to pickup a application for a low-income apartment and I turned it in yesterday

Terrible property management company, they definitely do not care about residents who live in the low income apartment complexes. Please do not rent from them especially if you have children!

I did some work for this property management company in Pittsburg California at Pittsburg Park Apartments back in May 2022 it’s almost august 2022. I got The OK to do the work in advance, Once the work was completed I submitted an invoice, then I was told I have to fill out a new vendor package because they’re not using the one that I filled out previously, so I filled it out and sent it in. I’ve been calling them for three weeks leaving messages and no one has called me back. If you are a vendor beware, these people do not like to pay.

Place sucks I go through too many property managers and have recently raised our rent 10.8% in total disregard to ab14-28 which only allows a 10% rate increase or 5% plus the cola not to exceed 10%, which they violated by increasing our rent 10.8%

There's a reason why they have such LOW ratings! And unfortunately it doesn't have to be this way. Show respect and appreciation for your tenants. Don't treat them like they're disposable. Moreover, they refuse to allow tenants to use cameras to protect their vehicles from theft and vandalism in the BV parking lot AND refuse to put cameras in the facility. We actually had a vehicle stolen right from the parking lot and not recovered! Honestly, the only person worth commending here is the hardworking maintenance guy, Dave. If it weren't for him, this place would have been red tagged!

Ocotillo Springs Apartments in Brawley CA. Asked for deposit money of 500$ got approved but they never procesen the money order, said because its good for a whole year, and after a month was told i couldnt move in because they couldnt come into agreement with the rent, and was handed the same money order payable to their company. Mind you which should have been processed into their system within 24 hrs. Since its a liability for all parties involved.

They never answer there phonce after voice mail is left. Called about 20 times in a row. There lunch is over at 1 and its 1: 26 and they dont answer. Its been 6 months call after call after call.

Knew nothing about new apts opening but wanted money order an paper work asap. I don't pay for anything I can't see or have info in. Would love to have known more These are ocitillo wells in brawley

No bueno they kept me and four kids in an inhabitable apartment for over two weeks while a major plumbing repair happened. This left us with no sink or access to our stove for over two weeks. Completely unacceptable and should be frowned upon as a whole

They never call you back. We had a water emergency. Called them on Saturday. Noone called us back and did not send a repair person out until Monday. It was the toilet by the way.

Buckimgham property management is a terrible company to work with as renters. They are rude to their tenants, have no compassion and make life living hell. They lose your money and then demand repayment. If you can live anywhere else I would advise to do so. Zero people skills. Treat their renters like heads of cattle.
