Bar Buddha Lounge reviews
16A Chinatown staple! Always good for a quick drop-in for a Lucky Buddha beer or just to say hi to the bartender Mark.
Wandered into this place on a quiet Tuesday night. Great chill atmosphere, good drinks, and the bartender was amazing. Really nice guy to drink with and talk to, he made our night. Will be visiting again when I come back to SF!
Quaint with a very friendly bartender named Annie who made everyone feel welcome! Drinks were great!
Beware they tip themselves. Check your receipts before giving them another tip on top of the one they already gave themselves.
This small but quaint bar provides exceptional service (shout out to bartender Annie), refreshing drinks, and an environment conducive for easily meeting others. The electronic juke box, large mural, and ability to people-watch along Grant Street, only adds to the fun of this establishment.
Annie makes a nice Chinese Mai Tai, but also be sure to try the Hong Kong herbal shots (something I've not seen elsewhere).
Each trip I make into San Francisco includes a stop into The Buddha Lounge.
A nice spot to grab a drink during Chinese new year for sure. A small spot with a relaxed atmosphere and quick service from the bartender as well. She was a lot nicer than the other bartenders in this area honestly. There was this unique to this area some sort of dark Chai shots they served here which was very strong and tasty.
First night out in Chinatown and we had the time of our lives, the bartender was an absolute legend ️
We wandered to Chinatown on a whim and found this bar. It’s super cute inside. The music was good, drinks were great, but the best part of this bar is the Bartender! He’s hilarious and gives great service!
Brown Sugar, if you’re reading this, we’ll definitely come see you again while I’m San Francisco!
Sincerely,
Your Texas Friends
Regular stop in China Town, great atmosphere, cash only
Update 2021, takes cc now and newly remodeled
Beautiful bar. The drinks can be a little light but overall, you get great, quick and friendly service.
A clean curious bar with a real San Francisco Chinatown feel. The bar is on a great bifter corner great for Chinatown selfies.
Chill vibes. Solid drinks. Would definitely recommend for a late night cap or hangs with friends.
Cutest little bar in Chinatown, the bartender is a good time! Pores generous shots! Will be back!
A dive bar right next to Pantages. It's dark in there, the bartender is most likely older than you or I, and the drinks are both stiff and cheap. Also, there's POPCORN! It's not set out. You have to ask the bartender nicely. It's a pan of jiffy pop and it's spun on a nifty popper. A perfect drinking snack.
Kitsch little place, don't get the hype about the Buddha beer, you can buy it from bottle shops in Australia.
Don’t even waste your time here. The bar tender was extremely inconsiderate. Worst experience I’ve ever had. If I could give this negative stars I would.
