The one rental company that doesn’t reserve cars for reservations. So disappointed. I made a reservation several days in advance for a minivan. The rental counter has 2 people, and it would take at least 10-15 minutes per person to get keys. After 45 minutes waiting, I spent another 15 minutes with one person just to find out they didn’t have a minivan for our reservation. I ended up leaving without a vehicle, and had to pay on my own for an Uber ride. All the other rental counters had either no line or short lines, and helped their customers much quicker.

Budget Rental customer service was so bad. Returned the car on time. E receipt was never sent to me. Had to go back and talk to them and the customer rep said they see as I never picked up the rental. Had a very bad experience

The price of the rental was great and the vehicle itself was in good condition, but the overall experience was only so-so. We rented from the Fresno Airport. When we arrived at the Budget counter, the representative told us the Rav4 we reserved was not available. Instead, he was giving us an Explorer. Then he told us he didn't know which parking space it was in and that we should just go outside in the dark, close to midnight, walk around the parking lot and start clicking the panic button on the key fob until the vehicle started honking. Finally, when we arrived at the vehicle, it was not an Explorer.it was an Expedition. HUGE difference! 8 seat, 3 row, gas guzzler for just me and my wife.
Driving this beast of a vehicle thru the narrow, winding roads of Yosemite National Park was not fun! In hind sight, we should have returned the vehicle as soon as we saw what it was, but it was late and we were tired, so that's on me. But overall, I think the Budget rep should have done a better job.

First car assigned had a bad key fob. Wouldn't unlock car.
Second car assigned was fine. No problems.
Not sure why or how they could open first car with key fob? When they got that Mazda in for cleaning they should have been able to figure out fob didn't work correctly.
Part of the key fob was actually missing. A piece of it had fallen off.
Overall it was a good rental. No problems with second car they gave us, which was a Toyota Corolla.

I thoroughly enjoyed Gail as my representative - she was caring and personable. She quickly got me to my rental, the exact one I wanted and reserved, then I was able to get on the road within 15 minutes. Dropping off was also extremely easy. The rep was right there to take my keys and check that I’d filled up the tank. Good to go.

Just wished they had more staff during peak times of the day and a clearly marked line instead of guessing if you’re standing in the right line. Staff was doing their best with the amount of people trying to check out.

I filled the gas tank 2 miles from the airport. I topped off the tank and when I turned the car in the gauge was above the full mark. They charged me $5.00 because yhe tank wasn't full enough. There was no way to put any more gas in the car. This charge is very unreasonable.

Horrible experience. Terrible customer service. Watched the two guys snickering and rolling eyes at other irate customers. Reserved and paid in-advance but they refused to provide car. Still trying to get a refund. Thank goodness for Enterprise/Alamo. They saved the day.

They don't bother telling you that you been a major credit card to rent from them. Then they take 3-5 days to give your damn money back. Put me in an emergent situation they could care less about.

Got a “free upgrade” but it cost me more money in gas to drive it. There was no one at the desk to answer questions when I returned the vehicle at 6 am.

Don't underestimate Budget Car Rental. The people are Great people and the vehicles are newer than you'd think. I rented a vehicle for a week and it was like driving a brand new car off the lot. Thank you Budget for providing such Amazing customer service as well as beautiful and beyond comfortable vehicles.

Car was filthy inside and out. Smelled like a Port -o-John. Windows were filthy and smeared. I tried to clean the windows after buying cleaner. Didn't have much luck. The rear seat was stained with vomit or who knows what? I got a mystery charge of an additional 30 sum dollars for who knows what. I did get good gas milage, even driven with the windows down.

The line at the rental counter was VERY long. The lady in front of me timed her wait at 37 minutes. I had reserved a hybrid (Toyota Prius Hybrid or similar) at a higher cost to save money on my gas bill. I was told there were none available and offered a Sienna (had no idea that was a minivan until I walked out to pick it up) As a single traveler a mini van is not exceptable. They then offered me a Jeep which I took as I had no choice. After 2 days and seeing that my MPG was 20.8 I called to request a trade. Spoke to 2 customer service and then Carlos (a supervisor) who hung up on me. I wasted 35+ minutes and out of frustration gave up. I sure hope that you recorded my conversations and are able to review.
My gas bill was 3x higher than it should have been as a Prius averages 53MPG

There was just one person worker with a line of more than 20 people. Took us almost 2 hours to get our rental.

These are all franchise offices, so other offices likely do a much better job. That said, I would highly recommend avoiding renting a car from Budget at Fresno Airport. We waited in an almost 2hour line around midnight only to be offered an enormous quad cab truck—staff, who were nice but digging keys out of a bucket, said there was no choice: that was all they had (though they did have some electric options, we found out, after looking at the quad cab and realizing no way could we drive such an enormous vehicle)! Everyone was nice, but the whole experience sucked up hours of my life and it was wholly disappointing and frustrating. Though other locations might be better, our experience at Fresno Airport has made us switch away from Budget for good.

Check in was easy, but not very fast. The cars were easy to get to at the Fresno airport. We had a Kia Soul. Great gas mileage. The car was a little dirty inside. It looked like it has been to the beach, sand in the back.

Paid for my rental car in advance, got to the airport and waited in line, the lady had all the information in advance, got the car, it was clean, full of gas and no damage to the outside.the car was great, gas mileage outstanding, and upon return to the airport was met by a young lady who accepted the car as being returned in same condition, stopped at the counter, the same lady that checked me in assured me my $250.00 dollar deposit would be refunded by 5pm that night. I will return to Budget in the future.
