Buffalo Exchange reviews
25Nice selection, but Buffalo is an expert at ripping people off. Sad we had to lose so many great SF thriftshops at the hands of the Buffalo invasion.
Nothing in store for me today but, I did receive store credit for clothes I turned in for future purchases. SCORE!
Went to sell some of my clothes in very good condition, they barely looked at it and bluntly sent me away without giving any explanation. I didn't expect them to accept the clothes I brought, but at least be nice to your customers. Super unfriendly and snooty, I won't come back.
The staff is very nice. However, the prices are quite high for very used and sometimes defective products. For instance, I was looking for a pair of shoes and the average price was 30 dollars for very used shoes. Honestly I'd rather spend 10-20 more dollars to have new shoes on discount.
The WORST Buffalo Exchange—Needed a pair of jeans because my pants ripped and I left without buying anything because the selection for women’s pants is worse than ripped pants. Berkeley and Haight locations have all the funky and classy items—this place is 85% sweaters and tops no one wanted once the embarrassment of 80’s and 90’s fashion ended a few decades ago.
I go here literally ALLLLLL the time and almost always leave with a new, cool, funky, and unique piece. It’s so joyful and safe. You must go if you are nearby. 100% the best thrifting in SF!
To be quite honest i was very shocked to see the cashier woman be so unkind to a customer it was really sad she was very freindly to the other customers. I will definitely be going to the one on haight street it has better customer service more slection and more room to move around the store
The staff is very pleasent, sincere and knowledgeable and share with you immediately. I've always had a great experience at buffalo exchange on Valencia st in sanfrancisco
Customer service was really impressive. Attendants came up to me twice to take clothes I had picked to the dressing room. Very helpful given all the coats I was holding. One of the items had stains around the collar, and the manager was kind enough to write cleaning directions on the back of my receipt. Professional, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Fun little used clothes shop that can have good stuff. They will also buy your used clothes, which I have taken advantage of a few times.
Amazing store! Even better than the original in AZ with an even friendlier staff. Great prices on new clothes still with tags on! Keep up the amazing work guys!
Tends to get really busy but honestly, you can go to other local thrift shops or second hand shops, and they'll usually have a better curation of clothes for a much better price.
A decent selection of mid-range quality clothes. The prices are decent for the most part, but there are some items that are a bit pricey for being second hand.
This place is one of the best spots to find quality new and vintage clothes. I'm a picky clothes shopper and having crawled all the vintage shops on Valencia, this one is where I have the best chance to consistently find something. Nice staff and lots of turnover so every time you go there's new stuff on the racks.
After five minutes of searching for some super fly baseball tees, I started to find clothes that were stolen from my car a week before! The folks here were extremely helpful and held the clothes for me until I could get the police involved
I go to buffalo exchange far more often than I should. They do a good job selecting quality clothes to put up for sale. I have never brought my own clothes to sell (mostly cause i don't know that they'd accept any of it). Most of my recent outfits are from this place. It has a good mix of staples and funky pieces.
Not a fan. I feel like this store is super dirty and people who work there aren't very helpful.
The staff is extremely rude. They upcharge on the clothes and refuse to take returns. I bought a pair of shoes from them when I got home I saw they were broke I came in the next afternoon and they refused to return my money! Worst consignment shop ever!
I've made some good money off selling my clothes here. I would definitely recommend this service.
I'm too old and not hipster enough for this place. If you're into unflattering high-waisted stonewashed 90's jean shorts, this is your spot. If you're looking to unload your J Crew and Banana Republic gear, go straight to Goodwill.
