Burger Hut - Forest Ave reviews
16What a great experience! I met with a friend for a late lunch before going on a fire. Walked into a small line of a few customers ahead of us.with a big smile on her face. The cashier handled everything, and I mean, I had questions.had a sample of the in-house root beer and definitely got 2 mugs. I ended up getting the Mushroom Swiss Burger with bacon and a side of garlic fries. Would definitely recommend it and looking forward to going back Burger Hut again
Usually this place is 5 stars but you can occasionally get stalish fries. Still worth the money imo.
Been a chico staple for many years. Many different food options as well as the ability to dress your burger however you want.
I mean its burger hut i put so much toppings that it gets all over my face i use so many paper towels i feel like if it doesn't get all over your face your doing it wrong
The food was good. I got the salad bar for lunch it was like $7.70 something, small 1/2 order of fries #4.70 something. I was tripping on how the prices have gone up and then I read. $7.89 for a pint of beer. WTH.almost 8 dollars for a pint. I get inflation is real and hitting everyone hard but 8 bucks for a beer. I think your kegs are going to spoil before you sell all the beer.crazy. Still a great place for a burger but these prices are getting out of hand.
Ordered the fish and chips. They gave me 2 bags and I thought it was the wrong order. One bag had the fish.the other bag was loaded with chips!
We have been to Burger Hut before the camp fire and a few times after and cover put a damper on things. This recent trip was very good and we will definitely go back again. The one thing that changed is that they built a wall where you used to go to pick up your burger. Now they give you a number and bring it to your table.
Great food. Their milk shakes are amazing. I always stop here when I'm traveling through Chico.
Really good burgers and fries, cooked to order. Selection of beer on tap. Several condiment stations and salad bar. You order at the counter, get a number and they have several food runners who deliver your food order to your table. Extensive indoor and enclosed patio seating.
Always great food and customer service. No matter when we visit or how busy it is they are always great.
I have been going to Burger Hut for nearly 30 years, and, until recently, it was great. Sadly, I would recommend almost any place in Chico as a better choice for burgers now.
We were really hungry after swimming this week, so we ordered a medium size order of fries. The fries portion has always been legendary at Burger Hut! When the fries were delivered to our table, the order consisted of a less than half-full basket of fries that were not even hot. And the price, $7.89. EIGHT bucks for a meager order of warmish fries? ! That's absurd.
I asked for my burger to be "lettuce wrap" style, without a bun. The lettuce was so incredibly wilted and meager. I mean, it's almost as if the employees did this as a joke. Take a look at the picture!
We asked for one burger to be cooked well done. Guess what? It arrived sorta medium, pinkish.
We also noted that the floors were pretty dirty - lots of little bits of trash, food, etc.throughout the place. The condiment bar - formerly pristine with fresh, cold produce - was a mess, too.
Lastly, there were no hours posted, but they were open at 6: 15pm when we arrived. We got our food in about 10 minutes and prepped our burgers from the condiment bar by maybe 6: 30 or 6: 35. I went back for more onions at 6: 40, and the condiment bar was completed emptied, cleaned up, closed. I asked what time they closed - again, no hours posted anywhere now - and they told me 7: 00. So you close the condiments down 20 minutes before the actual closing hours?
The last straw? 3 burgers + 3 sodas + 1 "medium" order of fries? Over FIFTY dollars!
Taste like Burger King. I asked for a 1/4 pound burger, I got a baby burger no topping no lettuce tomato or onion or anything that I asked for just sauces. I don’t know how people eat it. Yuck! $35 for 3 burgers
Went for a large order. Friendly helpful staff. Delicious burgers with built your own condiments.
I was recommended this place by a local and I was definitely impressed.
I paid 16 dollars for a meal, which feels expensive but that’s all you can expect nowadays.
First place I’ll take my family and friends!
It was good food and I liked that you could put your own topping on your burger. It was a little bit pricey though.
Love this burger place where I can do all my own toppings. It's really close to my house. And they've got a good selection of on tap beers.
