Burma 2 reviews
20The best Burmese in Bay Area. We have been ordering food from Burma 2 for last four years. Dined in recently and the service was excellent. They were happy to accommodate us even though we arrived close to closing hours during lunch time
Fantastic food, the taste excellent, the quality excellent, the quantity excellent. Menu has more then enough dishes to satisfy any hunger you have. Service was flawless. Going back this weekend.
Everything was good, we got the fried tofu and calamari. Eggplant and garlic, pineapple fried rice, fried chicken and shrimp (only thing wasn't fried LOL). Service was great. They kept checking if we needed anything. Definitely will come back!
Loved the cocktails, special Burmese Python. It a lovely punch of spice and alcohol. Also tried the Mule which was fresh and delicious. The Tea Leaf salad was regular like any other Burmese place. We also tried the Beef Kebat. Nice taste with lots of tomato and onions, thought it would be dry but still it was good. Overall a nice place to have Burmese food
Got the Samosa soup to try out this place for the first time. The soup tasted really good with above average serving size and priced on the higher side as per Walnut Creek standards. Parking is super limited and PAID from 7 am - 11 pm (7 days a week). Those meters are like $3 per hour. Looking forward to try other dishes in here!
Updated Review:
The taste and quality remains the same.
We got the Burmese Chicken Curry which was spicy and tasty as well.
Update 2.0:
Palata with Coconut Chicken Curry is amazingly delicious. Super recommended.
We had guests who have diary allergies and they were pleased to have multiple options in here.
Love the food here! So delicious and customer service is great! Outside seating is welcomed on warm sunny days. Will come back again.
What find in Walnut Creek.
We had the Lettuce Wrap w/ Shrimp. It was good. The one thign i noticed was the amount of shrimp - not that much especially chopped up.
We ordered the Moh Hin Gha (soup) and Garlic Shrimp & Eggplant.
Both dishes were very good - although the Moh Hin Gha was amazing.the flavors and the noodles at the bottom - sodamn good.
The only thing with service is halfway through our garlic shrimp & eggplant we still did not get our soup. Somehow there was a miscommunication somewhere between the wait staff and kitchen. Not a big issue if the plave was packed which it was not.
So if you are missing something ask the wait staff if it is on its way.
Definitely coming back to try other dishes!
Ah, see here, this joint's the real McCoy! The dames and gents servin' ya, they're top-notch – snappy service and all. I had me the lamb curry, see, and lemme tell ya, it was the bee's knees. And that lemon grass chicken? Forget about it! Mwah! Delicioso!
Now, I've been around the block in Walnut Creek, and there are plenty of speakeasies and diners playin' fast and loose with the greenbacks, see? But this place? Nah. They give ya a fair shake – no nickel-and-dimin' with small portions or inflated prices. Capisce?
In short, if ya don't want no funny business with your grub, make a beeline for this eatery. You won't regret it, I promise ya!
This is my first time to Burmese restaurant. The food will not disappoint you. The three dishes we tried are equally delicious and we can't wait to come back and to try other varieties.
BEER RECOMMENDATIONS:
Try Hazy IPA it has a distinct flavor that complements the food nicely.
Easy to get to, Burma II is. The food is exquisite! Parking is kind of a hassle. I really enjoy playing music at The Burmas.yes, there's a sister Burma in Pleasanton, too!
This place was a very good stop for lunch in Walnut Creek. Good prices and fresh food. I had a tea leaf salad and my wife had the fried tofu. Both were great.
Amazing lunch at Burma two, very friendly staff, the lettuce wraps, pad Thai, and chicken salad were all incredible, I highly recommend.
My friend and I had dinner at Burma 2 last evening. The Vegan Samosas were a tasty blend of a flavorful potato filling, crispy wrap and just the right spicy sauce to dip. The tea leaf salad was spicy (but not hot) crunchy and amazing. We enjoyed the perfectly flavored curry lamb over the most delicious coconut rice I ever had. The Burmese Semolina Cake attracted us and sure enough it was fabulous.
The dishes are plentiful and the food is so rich in flavor. Service is always quick and nice. Always surprised at how little I’ve spent when the check comes
Good food, generous portions, efficient and attentive service. Prices are reasonable, especially when u compare to other restaurants in Walnut Creek.
Try the fried lotus root as an appetizer.
The egg and okra curry is a tasty vegetarian entree with protein.
Many other vegetarian options. Indoor and outdoor seating.
I've eaten at Burma 2 twice, both times the food was really amazing. The unfortunate thing is that someone on their staff is a fraudster and a thief. On my second visit, I paid for the meal and I can't recall if I got my card back. I didn't realize my card was gone til a couple days later when I got a fraud alert on my credit card - someone had tried to rack up $3,000 at Best Buy. I canceled my card and called Burma 2 where someone confirmed my card was still at the restaurant.
Seeing the other review recently where the same exact incident happened to another guest makes it clear that there's someone on the staff who's doing this.
We saw this restaurant on Check Please, Bay Area. We just had to go, we were not disappointed! The food was delicious! Everything we ordered, and we ordered at least 5 or 6 dishes. You must try the salmon, pineapple fried rice and they have a curry dish with okra in it that was a hit with us all.
We ate there last week, the food was great but we had realized the next day that we never got our credit card back from the server. The lady that served us at closing time on Monday knew we were visiting Walnut Creek. We had called the restaurant a few times to see if anyone had seen our CC but no-one responded. Once back from our vacation we realized that they had charge almost 4000$ at Best Buy and target.
This is Fraud.
If you dine there make sure you card his handed back to you.
Been coming back here for over two years and is my go to restaraunt to take friends and family that are visiting. Everyone I've taken has loved the food and the service is always amazing. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options available. Also, good outdoor and indoor seating options. The parking garage is a short 5 minute walk away so parking is never an issue.
I got very sick after eating, something wasn't fresh, looks great, but I had to run to get home
