Nice looking spot. Asked if food was white chicken but was disappointed when it arrived. Lots of fat on dark meat.

Used to be awesome. Used to haveto wait in line to get in. No more! Must have lost their cooks. Items on the menu often out. They have lost their way post the Pandemic

Very happy they have an outdoor area as well as covering to protect from the rainstorm that coincided with my visit.

The staff was amazing - friendly and beyond helpful, eager to make adjustments to accommodate a disabled member of our party. In the end, we had to leave and get take out but can't say enough about the willingness of the staff to accommodate us. Thank you! Fabulous food too, by the way.

Food is pretty good. Atmosphere uncomfortable for young black men. I would order delivery next time or skip it altogether

I rarely do 5 stars - for anything. You have to be exceptional to get that fifth star, and Burma Superstar is just that - exceptional. Starting with the staff, greeting us, making sure they knew how many in our group, finding us a table, and then checking back often enough to explain menu items, and take our order as soon as we were ready.
We had the tea leaf salad as an appetizer, and the server talked about the ingredients as they mixed it at the table. It was an amazing mixture of taste and texture - a little tart, a little funky and a little umami - just right. One of the best dishes I've had in any restaurant anywhere. All of the entrees were great, and made excellent leftovers for the next day!
I will definitely be back next trip to Oakland!

Cool vibe and friendly staff, but felt like the dishes I ordered weren't as flavorful as I would have hoped. I ordered the platha and dip, and the platha was not flaky and a bit undercooked. I also ordered the pumpkin pork stew and Shan noodles which weren't bad, but for the price of the meal I wasn't satisfied with the flavor. The mango tamarind spritzer and hibiscus fizz were very tasty though. Planning to come back and give it another shot in the future.

Food was out of this world good, overpriced and expensive -yes. I should have know when I saw the $8 lemonade.

Service was out of this world BAD. Man, you guys have to hire someone to help Justin!

Lunch specials are over priced and just almost non existent.

We definitely won’t be back sadly- the food was delicious (chili lamb, coconut rice) but not worth the price and lack of service.

Super yummy food, I've had several things from this place and it's all delicious. Garlic noodles, stir fry beef, rainbow salad, sesame chicken, all great choices. I had a shrimp appetizer that was good, as well.

I ate at this place again today and had the broccoli dish, Burmese salad and coconut rice. Everything was well prepared and flavorful. I recommend trying the coconut rice.

I’ve always loved Burma Superstar in SF, eaten there and ordered delivery multiple times and it was fantastic.

This location disappointed. Granted, I’ve only eaten there once, and it was middle of the day Sunday at an obvious lull in customers so perhaps they weren’t focused.

The rainbow salad had spice, but very little flavor. The seafood curry was ok with shrimp, but would have been better with a more absorbent meat. Sesame chicken wasn’t entirely crispy - some soft, and some of the chicken was tough and over cooked. But the most perplexing were the garlic noodles with chicken. They came out after everything else and the chicken was actually cold inside. I sent the noodles back and they made me a fresh batch… which came out only slightly warmer. The plate itself was cold to the touch, so I think they plated hot food on a cold plate and it cooled the noodles off big time. Flavors just weren’t what I expected.

It’s not terrible and the samosas and coconut rice were tasty. I just had very high expectations with my prior experience. Service was responsive and pleasant.

I have nothing but spectacular things to say about this place. My meal was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. First thing you will notice when you get to this restaurant is a welcoming smile from every employee along an unmatched example of perfect customer service. The calamari was prepared with perfection. The Garlic noodles had a perfect balance of spice, sauce, and zest. My personal favorite is the steak kebat, unfortunately I tore that up before I could snag a picture haha. The bartenders were lively and knowledgeable. They were attentive and friendly. You could tell they took their craft seriously. Kudos Burma Superstar.

Wonderful food. Great service. Everything we had was incredible - coconut rice, tea leaf salad and coconut curry chicken soup. And mango tamarind spritzer was also amazing!

Burmese cuisine is flavorful and one of a kind. I cannot get over how amazing the food was here. The tea leaf salad has got to be one of my favorite salads I have ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant and any of Burma Superstar sister restaurants if you are looking to try something unique.

Fan favorite and probably makes most must visit SF eateries lists. Also a unique thing about SF that it has great Burmese food (of course this is within united states as the qualifier). Must try their green leaf salad but can't go wrong with any option on their menu.
