This is the place for grilled clams. Shells are fresh and atmospheric, and clap automatically when lobster comes out. It was nice to taste this and that with the modus operandi, and fire show to the staff. Populmans was so good. I liked the steamed eggs that I like and the soup that came out last. It would be so nice to have a drink here in the cold weather. Rainy days like today are the best

Finding food that my dad is willing to eat is always an adventure. When I found this kbbq style seafood restaurant I knew if anything had a chance, it would be this! The variety, flavor and service was all top notch. We were ready to come back the next day!

Maybe I was too hyped up for the place but their food (especially their companion side dishes) were subpar.

I did like their service and ambience though! Pretty hip and had a outside area for more seating too. Servers were very attentive and professional.

We had hagfish and it was good. But everything else was very mediocre in taste, quality, and quantity.

They are new though so I totally think they can improve as they go!

One of the very few Korean restaurant that specializes in seafood, everything was fresh and delicious.
We ordered the captain set which is $199 and it was more than enough food to feed all 4 of us.
You’ll get the live lobster in dry ice, it’s a show by itself. The presentation was very impressive.
Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, he not only helped cook our food but also recommended how to eat it.
The captain set include lots of seafood items like, clams, mussels, hagfish, sea eel,
Shrimp, and of course the live lobster.
So if you love seafood and you love bbq, this is the place to try.
Five star all around, thank you for making our experience a very memorable one!

Our family got the captain combo! Throughout the meal, the staffs were very attentive and provided exceptional service. At the end of the meal, we got noodle too. I wish they have more options like kimchi fried rice on their menu instead of just cheese &corn, and steamed eggs.

Quick Summary
Great food, great prices, and great service. I really enjoyed the Korean grilled clam style restaurant from traveling in Seoul and glad to see one here in Ktown. The seafood was fresh and delicious. Service was superb as our servers did all the cooking. We got lucky with free street parking but they have a parking lot in the back at an affordable rate. We chose to sit outside, which we liked more to minimize the smokiness

Food- 5 stars
We ordered the crew set which was more than enough food for 2 people. All the seafood was so fresh and tasty. But I particularly liked the clams and marinated baby octopus (I've never had octopus so soft and fresh!).

With most Korean restaurants, the portions are pretty large, and it's pretty easy to overeat.

Service- 5 stars
Our servers were fantastic. Very attentitve without being overbearing. They cooked everything and made recommendations on how to eat everything as well.

Bottom Line
Excellent food, prices, service, and pretty easy parking. Burnin Shell was an awesome experience and I can't wait to go back

Cute spot that opened on a non busy section of ktown. Stopped in with a friend to try their seafood one night. The wait wasn’t too bad. We opted to sit inside which was why there was a bit more of a wait but they also have an outdoor area which has no wait.

We walked by and went in without checking the menu. Luckily we could enter without any waiting. Seafood and 꼼장어 were amazing. 가리비 was especially beautifully presented. From the small dishes we really enjoyed the 떡볶이, 계란찜, and the 콘치즈. Overall this was a great option for dinner even though we are not fans of what they are known for.

I always leave feeling full and grateful for the great service from the staff here. They're happy to explain anything and to my non-Korean friends and as an added bonus for elder millennials like myself, the 90s KPop is always bumping!

The best korean seafood bbq ever I've known in LA. I definitely will be back with my family soon.

Ordered a crew set and added buttered squid. The quality and portion sizes were good for two, and the waiters took good care of us. However, we had a rather embarrassing and uncomfortable experience.

We had checked that the restaurant closed at 12: 00 am before arriving, and we walked in around 9: 40 pm. The restaurant was nearly empty. Once the other customers left, leaving only us, the staff started putting chairs on the tables and sweeping with broomsticks. To our surprise, they then mopped with a strong chemical scent, possibly Lysol or something similar.

The boss told us, "Stay as long as you like, " with a smiley face. We felt extremely embarrassed and left shortly after because we didn't want to stay longer in an environment filled with dust and the smell of chemicals. I worked as a waitress for about eight years in my 20s, and I don't believe they handled the situation properly. I hope others won't have to go through what I experienced in the future, so I'm leaving this review here.
