Burros & Fries - Escondido W Felicita Ave

We happened to drive past this place and the name amused me so had to stop. It was sooo good! I love tacos so much and so finding another good taco shop made me so happy. I really like that they have some unique options like the fries menu.
Between the 4 of us we had a veggie burrito, fish tacos, Carne asada fries and a carnitas torta. All of it was great.

Just a heads up, If you order six roll tacos and they tell you it comes in five, take the five. I ordered that extra taco and ended up paying an extra $4.:/

The food is consistent and good. Prices are fair. Mind you it is Mexican fast food, but it's good if your not expecting cuisine. Service has been excellent, the drive thru is on the slower side, the atmosphere is fast food.

I get food from Burros & Fries at least once per week (probably too often). Until recently, I would have strongly recommended this restaurant/drive thru. No more. The past 2 times (11/30/22 & 12/7/22) I have been there, the drive thru has been painfully slow. Not because it was busy, both times there has only been 1-2 other cars in line. Today I waited 12 minutes. 12 mintues! For a drive thru burrito. Give me a break. And, the past 2 times the food has been unacceptable. The tortillas seem stale, and today I was served a cold burrito. Unacceptable.

Well balanced California Burrito. Hit all the necessary elements: good carne asada, right amount of cheese and fries, and sauces on the inside to keep it moist.
Price is average.

Excellent food, my family or I have had rolled tacos, fish tacos, Carne asada fries, Carne asada burritos. All really good.

Why does it say in the search "On the menu: vegan" when there isn't a single mention of vegan on the menu?

Food is very fresh and delicious, will be coming back for sure. They serve breakfast all day which is a plus. Hash brown burrito is Street tacos are a must!

Friendly staff.very clean.
But the food was just so so.
Every thing was over priced
The fish tacos were very bland.
The beans and rice had very little flavor.
I probably will not be back.

Well, birria was OK but the fact that you don't get tortillas with it is just wrong! Birria without tortillas?

Costumer service horrible. The drinks they overload when you grab them, it's all over your hand and car. Cashiers so muddy that I guess because of their nasty attitude were not able to get a better job. Birria tacos nasty more fat than meat.

First and last time I will go. The one star is for my husbands burrito. He has food allergies and his was correct. I ordered a carne asada burrito with a side of beans an rice. The beans and rice was ok. But the burrito was missing the asada, guacamole and salsa! It was filled with beans and rice! Way too much beans and rice!

You can tell by the other reviews that the food has totally gone down hill. I just tried to eat a hashbrown breakfast burrito and I only ate half. Barely any bacon. Super messy because they put too much sauce and barely any hashbrown at all and just a oily disaster. I've tried to go back at different times of the day but it makes no difference. This place used to be sooo good

Place is a Joke. Sure it makes SERIOUS cash flow but it doesn't come close to having anything that resembles American cuisine nor Mexican cuisine. The combination of the two in the misguided eyes of the creator's of this establishment has resulted in what I personally call, a "SERIOUS Abomination of the essence of Edible Food"

I like to get a couple street tacos as a meal. Pretty cheap, and it's not way too much food like a burrito. Fresh ingredients. Can recommend.

This place has definitely gone down hill in the last yr. Not sure what happened on their end besides the food and service is not the same. This evening I Figured I'd give it another try, Not wanting to drive the extra miles to another taco shop. Well first off the drive thru lady that took my order was pretty rude. Maybe she got a little annoyed that I politely requested "very very lite on the sour cream" 3 different times. And heavy on cheese. When I Finally get the order handed to me it's not laying flat. The tray is some what sideways. She seems annoyed. I just thank her then leave.well when I get home and open it this is what I find. Extra extra sour cream, Barely any cheese, the tacos are drowning in the beans with hardly any pico. (that I paid extra for) This for almost $16.00.3 rolled tacos covered in sour cream. B. S

Do not get the carnitas. They don’t drain it before putting it in the burrito. I had half a cup of grease in my bag soaking the napkins, the wrapper, the salsa cups. It was a mess. Not the first time this has happened. Such a bummer. Seems like a good place.

First time customer.wow. Was great food was fresh! Now was about 30 minutes before I was able to eat it and still tasted great, the staff was super friendly spoke very politely, that is a huge us for me! Your experience starts with who is taking your order and having manners while taking is so so important. So A+. It is a bit pricey for me. But I will be back! I understand how the dollar works when it comes to restaurants. My food was good quality, no gristle if spelling it right.worse thing getting a burrito if half of it is chewy fat.can say didn't have any. You should try this place, I went though the drive up and pretty late, around 9: 45 pm. Ingot the green salsa and it was great. To be wasn't spicy. But paired very well with my meal.
