Bushfire Kitchen - La Costa, Carlsbad CA

The food is overpriced, bland, and just unimpressive. I've ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl, burgers, and a few other plates, none of them are executed very well, especially for the price. Their service is always top notch and overwhelmingly friendly, I just wish their food was as good.

LOVE THESE GUYS! GREAT food at a decent price and they’re ALWAYS SUPER FRIENDLY! I do Uber Eats for them and deliver and they’re always friendly and timely! Wife and I will come again!

Consistently delicious, hearty food with large portions at a great price. My favorite is the teriyaki tri tip bowl with garlic mash and roasted sweet potatoes! Quick service too

Very disappointed in my last experience. We went in and ordered take out. The cashier could not get the order straight, even when repeated. Told I would get a text when ready so I waited outside as the restaurant was busy and loud. After 25 minutes or so, I went back in and the orders were just sitting there. No text. We drove home. Our food was cold, burgers were missing bacon and other ingredients. The peri peri chicken has bacon! My sister cannot eat it. Lucky she checked before consuming. I guess the biggest disappointment was I wrote to Bushfire on their website and never received a response. This is a frequent choice for my friends and I. Not anymore.

We went there on Sunday for a lunch and get surprised by variety of healthy and tasty foods, also 2-5 PM daily is a happy hour, so we got little more happier. Thanks to a friendly staff.

Food left out of Take out order, two consecutive times. It was not busy at the time, so no excuse. Manager was rude to me about error and no response to multiple emails (only way to contact). Take out orders are in sealed bags, CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING! I left a generous tip both times. Plenty of staff working both times.

Pretty disappointed in the amount of time it took to get food for my family of 4. It took over 40 minutes to get our food after ordering at the counter. We dont plan on coming back, and recommend you go to one of the other local places right next door.

They even have the audacity to put 15-20-25% tip options on the computer. Ludicrous. I feel like going back to ask for a refund of my 15% tip.

Delicious as always! Brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly as well as everything else I ordered with them!

We had a delicious dinner from Bushfire Kitchen tonight! Salmon cooked perfectly! Meals ready in 10 minutes! We order from Bushfire often and have always been happy!

Fresh-cooked whole foods available with various accommodations for specialty diets. Gluten-free, Vegetarian, and Keto friendly. The service was slow, even though many of the sides were available in pots under heat lamps. Despite the heat lamps, one of my sides, the curry cauliflower, came out cold. The busses cleared the tables after guests finished but did not wipe any of them down, and my main dish came with a hair on the side of the plate. It appears from other reviews, this is not the first time. With greater investment in a clean, faster, and hot food presentation, Bushfire Kitchen has the potential to reach closer to a 4-star review for this type of dining.

This place is a g e m. The service is awesome, and I believe this person might be the owner who walks around asking how your meal is. Very personable. I had the salmon on top of garlic mashed potatoes with mixed veggies. Best meal I've had all week, and we've had some great ones right at the Cape Ray resort. Nice, casual atmosphere and there was a lot of traffic, but they were so fast. This place is awesome! My son's sandwich had layers of meat on it, and he loved the bread which was unusual like a homemade loaf but thicker. He said if he comes back to carlsbad, he's going to bring his wife who is a definite foodie.

I can’t believe this place is rated so highly. It’s a good place to go if you want cafeteria style food.

Stood at the vegetable bar forv5 minutes waiting for service but no one offered to help. Hamburger buns were dry. Vegetables were also dry and flavorless. Will not go back.

You walk in here and smell barbecue, but then you get a cold sandwich. It's overpriced even for a cold one. From now on, they will have to pay me to eat their food.

I love this place! I order takeout once a week or every other week. The Thai chicken bowl and bbq chicken plate are my favorite. The empanadas are great and the sweet potato fries and the best!

I ordered online and went to pick it up! They were reasonably communicative and responsive! Food was great and warm even when I got back home!
