Brilliant place, I only wish it was closer so I could visit more often! Tommy is passionate about what he does and the store reflects that. You won’t find another comparable store in CA. Well done!

Recently visited this store with a friend. I liked the aesthetic of the store and the items they carried. Unfortunately the person running the store who I assume is the owner was extremely rude and disrespectful. There are no reasons to talk to someone especially a customer the way he did. Would not recommend this establishment.

I reached out via Instagram and asked for some help. I received a quick response, was accommodated and ordered Elephant Denim Jacket. Ordered on Friday and received it just days later. Excellent and thoughtful service. These guys are great

I ordered a Stetson from Butterscotch, which was not available in Switzerland. Everything went fine, prompt delivery and the product is flawless. Thank you for the flexibility to ship to Switzerland.which is not common.
I gladly come for a visit when I'm in the States!

Sad to say, but I had my WORST online shopping experience ever with Butterscotch. I've never met or spoken with the shop owner, Tommy - but after placing over 15 online orders over the course of 1.5 years, and spending big $$$$, I tried returning a 'final sale' item via mail, because it was unwearable (fabric was impossibly itchy, and could not be worn). Tommy was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me via email. After lecturing me on the ins & outs of running a small business, he basically said that he would no longer accept any future orders from me, because I did not obtain prior consent or permission to return my online purchase. He then went on to rudely tell me that I could always shop at Nordstrom or Amazon (because they gladly accept returns)! REALLY! WOW! After supporting this business for over 1.5 years, one would expect a better response to any customer, let alone a 15X repeat customer. I would have been happy with a partial store credit, a phone call, ANYTHING, but instead received a slap in the face for not following his protocols for returns, which are ridiculously inflexible. Incredibly disappointed in Butterscotch. Bye Bye Tommy!

Been shopping here for at least a few years now. I’ve probably placed around 10 orders to date. Tommy always makes sure items shipped in a timely manner & packaged with care.

These days we all need to support these small businesses & show them the respect when things don’t work out perfectly. It’s a pain for all businesses that deal with shipping companies & ultimately shipping issues.

It’s important for the consumer to know that once an items leaves the store it’s out of their hands. Patience and general understanding of shipping policies is a responsibility of the consumer. Getting package insurance is super easy these days & guarantees you won’t have a headache if an issue takes place.

All in all, I highly recommend Butterscotch / Tommy! Keep doing your thing bud

Tommy wears or has worn all or most of the gear he sells, and has worn it for years. He truly is a purveyor of good quality clothing, and he can provide insight on stuff with how it will fit and break in over time. I love this store and appreciate what they do

A majority of my wardrobe comes from Butterscotch. This is how shopping should be done, through a small business with an owner who is an expert at what he does. I’ve purchased denim, 2 leather jackets, flannels, boots, hats, sweaters, and t shirts over the years. All of the articles I’ve purchased stay in my rotation and actually look better with age. I have the privilege to live in the neighborhood and can come in and try on the clothes personally. If you have to mail order, don’t give it a moment of hesitation. Tommy curates each piece and can give you expert advice.

Can't say much more than Tommy is a quality guy. Has great stuff. I've only bought a few things but never had a problem. Just went in yesterday for work boots and everything was smooth. Jose (?) helped me out and I was glad for the assistance. I don't really do much for the online shipping thing except for the Rolling Dub boots which takes TIME. But you KNEW that going in, and Tommy keeps you up to date on the ETA and what's happening. That's my two cents. All in all, I dig going in when I need something specific or just to look and it's a great shop. Nuff said.

I’ve shopped here multiple times and by far my favorite store. They carry everything from Nudie Jeans, The Naked and Famous Denim, Eat Dust, Etc. The owner is super cool will help you with what you need and any recommendations on sizing and style. If you’re in Long Beach or passing through, definitely stop by!

Shopped at ButterScotch on several occasions, and even bought some special / made-to-order products. Tommy is super helpful and easy to work with. Always above and beyond. And always the best of the best brands and products in the shop. If you want great pieces and great customer service, this is your spot.

I recently ordered a leather jacket from this store and was apprehensive about doing so without being able to try it on and compare the fit with other sizes. Shop owner Tommy spoke with me at length over the phone and then took the time to review a video of me wearing the jacket to assess the fit. He's a great dude with impeccable taste and goes above and beyond for his customers. Support this small business!

Butterscotch LBC has been exceptional in all my interactions and purchases. Tommy has been in touch to help with sizing questions, and even went so far to have me send a video to check out the sizing of a leather jacket to make sure I was happy; he then replied with a custom video of his own version so I could see how it would wear in — that’s exceptional. Kudos for an amazing dedication to customers and craft!
