Caesar's II Delicatessen

Was it terrible? No. But was it good? No, again. With like 6 sandwich selections, a sad, small deli counter, and a dozen or so "imported" goods on the shelves, this place was a far cry from anything resembling the hidden gem that its many 5-star reviews had me expecting. Maybe all the friends & family members of the proprietor gave it the many great ratings.

My sandwich was a good size, but bland. No brewed I've tea, or lemonade, or fountain drinks, just a limited selection of canned & bottled beverages in the drink cooler. Service was a combination of disinterested and impatient. The overall atmosphere is run-down & dingy. No intention of ever going back.

Went on a Sunday ordered a hot pastrami sandwich bread to meat ratio off. Little to no meat.place out dated and dirty looking.staff was not the happiest. Salad selection look like leftovers no going there again.

Amazing food, incredible service, Cheyenne was an absolute delight, and again, the sandwiches were the best ever

Seriously the best. Never disappointed. I've been coming here since I was a little girl with my dad. Always fresh, good people and amazing options.

Interesting sandwich.had the pickled tongue and it was pleasant not overwhelming. Very friendly atmosphere.

Had the Ceasars special and I wasn't too impressed with it also got the macaroni salad tasted like grocery bought. I expected a place like this to be authentic.

First time here. Sandwich was amazing. Great flavor and the bread had amazing textures. Had a side of Italian pasta and have been craving more since.

I love the amount of meat and cheese but I only had 2 little peppers and a few shreds of lettuce, bread seemed like day old bread. Caesar's is usually the best sandwich in town but this was subpar at best.
I definitely hope their party trays are much better because I ordered over $200 dollars worth of food for Friday June 25,2021 to be diverted to the fraternal order of Eagles FOE club 93 Bakersfield California

The very best sandwiches in town! My family has been going here for years and its the only place I'll buy a sub from. The staff are amazing and super friendly.

First Time Eating There and I Was Extremely Satisfied With The Service and The Pastrami Sandwich I Had For Lunch Was The Best I've Ate In A Very Long Time. I Highly Recommend The Restaurant.

So good! Best grilled chicken sandwich I've had in forever. Besides the delicious food (even the ice was tasty haha), the staff was super nice and I will definitely be ordering from here again =D

Hmmm. I was very disappointed in the lasagna I took home.
It was 8 layers of noodles and tasteless sauce on the very bottom and top only.
We found 1 slice of cheese.
No filling in between the layers of noodles.
No cheese melted on top.
We actually we in disbelief.
Can it be resurrected.yep with alot of effort.
I would have to take it apart add ricotta filling mozzarella and meat sauce.bcuz as you can see in the photos.it had none.

Delicious! We ordered the caprese salad, spaghetti carbonara, and the pappardelle funghi. The caprese salad was so fresh and the pasta was perfect. The inside is beautifully decorated too. Will definitely be coming back!

It is fantastic as it always has been, It's just to bad there is not one in East Bakersfield anymore, the service is excellent and prompt.
