Cafe de Casa reviews
16Food is the real Brazilian deal! If you're Brazilian, you know it.if you're not.you're missing out! Order the mortadela sandwich and the pao de queijo
Wonderful little cafe in the Castro with amazing savouries and sweets. Really friendly and such a good vibe.
I recently went to Cafe de Casa at Castro with my family and our doggo. Their outlet is very dog friendly and their staff is very kind. They have a bowl of water kept for all dogs near the entrance to meet their thirst needs.
We ordered their Açai bowl, Cheese bread, Escondidinho de Camaro, Coxinha, Fricasse de Frango and all of them were sooooo fulfilling and tasty! Our order served 3 people.
We ordered online and went to pick up at their outlet. However we ended up eating at the restaurant as they were dog friendly.

The cafe is great for a 1st/2nd date, studying or working "remotely". The staff is friendly, inviting and has wonderful energy even when they are busy. This is a "hidden gem", not your typical coffee house/cafe in the heart of the Castro.
Great service. The feijoadas on Sundays and Chicken cheese bread sandwiches are a must. My kids love the açaí bowl and the carrot cake (Brazilian style!).
3 locations 3 different menus… it sucks cuz I wanted the plate I had ordered at south San Francisco, but only there! Never seen a Brazilian restaurant without beans… talking about food, the only location which is a real Brazilian restaurant is the South San Francisco. All the rest this location is a good place to eat.
Food was amazing. Portion was large. We ended up sharing the Galinhada de Cerrado for lunch! Will definitely return!
As a Brazilian myself, this is the ONLY Brazilian restaurant in San Francisco I will HIGHLY recommend to all my friends and to anyone visiting the Bay Area. The Coxinha and the Escondidinho de Carne Seca are sublime! Not the cheapest place around, but very reasonable.
A beautiful atmosphere nice music and very good food with Brazilian inspiration. It is an ideal place to go with your friends chat and have a great time.
Great place for Brazilian treats. I got the Misto Quente which was good. They also have great music! Totally satisfied with the spot.
Food and pastries were so fresh and delicious. Space is cute and bright and service was quick even when busy. It’s pricier than expected for that type of quick food though.
A relaxed Brazilian cafe that has a broad menu catering to a variety of tastes (meat, vegetarian, etc.) and a variety of pastries such as coxinha, empanadas, esfirra (chicken or beef) which are a nice light snack or combined with a few other items a light lunch. If you are more hungry the lunches (including the parmigiana chicken (Brazilian style) should satisfy most people. There are sandwiches, salads, pasteis, and fresh juices and coffees.
The desserts are well worth trying including the rosca de coco (coconut bread) and the pelado cake (with yucca and coconut).
We enjoyed Cafe De Casa and went back several times to try as many items as we could. Staff were generally friendly and were happy to answer questions (and help with pronunciation). We'll be back next time we visit.
Very nice staff. I had passed by the cafe many times and I got a gift card for the cafe from my student and loved the coffee and cheese bread. Very delicious
This is such a lovely restaurant. Great food and atmosphere. However, they really need to improve their service and time expectations. I ordered a take out item from the counter. 30 mins later I am given a cold, barely heated item to take home. Really? No warning of the time at point of order? Just "it will be ready soon. " And then 30 mins to wait for something to be not heated. If was not going to be heated, why did you make me wait 30 mins? I write this in hanger at home as I heat up the item. Come on, you guys are better than this.
