Calavera Hills Dental

I had an appointment with Calavera Hills Dental yesterday and their new location is great - convenient spot on of El Camino Real in Carlsbad and now they have nice offices in a clean professional building with easy parking (they moved from Oceanside). The new (to me) hygienist Teresa was excellent, and I appreciate the professional care provided by dentist Dr. Layton. I feel like I'm in good hands when I go there.

Very good dental office. Staffed by people who care, especially Dr Layton who is gentle and considerste of his patients!

One is always grateful to find their best dentist. I'm so grateful that my dentist, Calavera HIlls Dental, checks all the boxes: competent staff, excellent work, kindness in protocol, time efficient, pro-active in preventative measures and nothing left out in being detail oriented in fine finishing their work. My best dentist ever!

I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Layton’s office. The whole team, from receptionist, hygienist, to dentist were so very congenial. Dr. Layton was very gentle and had a great “chair side”manner. He took the time to sit and talk with me and did not push anything unnecessary. I’ve had many dentists in my life and I’m grateful for finding this establishment.

Front office staff, cleaning technicians and Dr. Layton are very friendly, efficient and professional.

5 Stars - I definitely recommend Dr. Layton and his regular staff. He and his staff are excellent! He is painless, too, both during and after procedures. Dr. Layton is a great dentist. For years I have had nothing but positive experiences with him and his staff.

This is the first Dental Office I have received service from since retiring from the military, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. They are an amazingly proficient practice and very well staffed. The Receptionists are very helpful and reliable when dealing with my concerns and scheduling changes. The Dentist and his Assistants are also very kind, professional, proficient, flexible, and very time efficient with their patients. Each visit I have there, the wait time is really short; and the time spent with the Dentist, Hygienist, or Assistants have been well planned for the what my scheduled treatment is for. They value the patient's time and reason for visiting. I highly recommend.

Update: Yesterday, Monday, September 11,2023, was the opening at their new location. I was fortunate enough to have an appointment that day, too. They made a big deal to insure I knew about the changed location through emails and text notifications. Easy to find. The office setup is similar to their previous location but there's more depth to the building and the treatment rooms are more spacious. Definitely an upgrade.

Doctor Layton is so nice and is an amazing dentist. I never feel a thing when he gives a shot. Staff is great too.they always treat me like family.

I have been a patient of Dr Laytons office for a couple of years, I love his bedside manor and his shots are painless. He has very gentle touch, I highly recommend him.

Dr. Layton is great! The service is excellent, staff is friendly, they value my time so minimal waiting, no attempt to upcharge with unneeded services like other dentists I have used in the past. Highly recommend this office.

Always made to feel welcome. Recent teeth cleaning went so "smoothly" and efficiently that I knew that the cleaning was excellent. The words from Dr. Layton, "No cavities" always music to my ears. I didn't even need to bribe him to say that! Thanks, Nicolette!

Best dentist office! Staff are awesome (lol they helped me take out my earrings once for an X-ray once when I couldn’t myself) and dentist himself is good people (squeezed me into save a tooth, helped me fix old retainers free of charge instead of up-selling me a new one).

Highly recommend to anyone in the area. My favorite dentist office.
