California Academy of Sciences reviews
14We had a problem with Groupon when checking in. Our tickets showed as pending on the app and couldn't be scanned. Without hesitation the supervisor let us in first, only asking us to scan the code on our way out. Inside was awesome too. A lot to see and enjoy. 10/10 recommend
It was amazing! I would totally go back again. Although it was humid hot the rainforest was my favorite place. I would say go early to avoid crowds and find parking. We parked a long ways away from the entrance.
The California Academy of Sciences was a blast to visit. Pro tip, try to get your tickets in advance, as they increase in price the closer to your admission date gets. They also have a student discount available for college students. The entire museum was huge, and it was a great time exploring all of the little nooks of displays.
It's been awhile (before pandemic), since we've been here. My son loves this place and we do too! They continue to update their exhibits to keep it fresh.
A must stop. My son now has a keen interest in science after visiting here and has searched on his own about aquatic life from the exhibition form
Here.
It's a wonderful place to visit. Very clean, well organized and a lot to see. Would recommend giving ample time to see everything.
After a lapse of five years we got a new family plus membership so although we no longer live in SF, we plan to be regular visitors to this fantastic museum:)
Thursday nights are amazing. Only for adults and it's 21 $. Please make sure to take the 6 pm show and not the 7.30
They close the rainforest early. So please do that first and the planetarium show is done only once at 7.30 for which you need to scan a QR code. Also do the quake shake which is at earthquake simulator which is available till 9.30.
If you get time please go upto the living roof and use their telescope. We got to see Jupiter and Saturn
We've easily been here over 100 times, but each visit is a whole new experience. Today, we saw the snakes catching fish! It was amazing!
I absolutely love this place. While it it a little bit expensive it’s variety of activities accommodate children of all ages and can occupy an entire day or afternoon depending on your level of energy.
An aquarium, fossils, planetarium, terrarium, what's not to love? Easily the highlight of my trip on SF.
This place is amazing for all - kids and adults. They have four exhibits which include a museum of natural history, planetarium, aquarium, and biological sciences. Be sure to register for the planetarium show as soon as you arrive to secure your spot if it gets crowded. Nightlife is cool for the adults and tickets are priced less than daytime.
Amazing experience, solid 2-3 hours exploring, learning, and having some fun. Lots of activities for kids too
Great museum, you should try the earthquake simulator.
It is always so hard to see little critters, reptiles and other creatures trapped in very small spaces and trying to escape we should stop caging living creatures for our entertainment.
