California Agriculture Museum reviews
7If you are interested in seeing the history of agricultural equipment used in California this is a great place to visit. I was shocked to see a combine identical to the one I ran in 1991 as a new mother with my child in a car seat.
If you like history, do the guided tour. I wish I had more time to get the guided tour, but it was a last-minute stop on our trip back home. I still learned a lot, and I'm glad we decided to check it out.
Lee was an excellent guide recommend visiting on a Sunday. He was very knowledgeable in the history behind the evolution of each manufacturer.
Very good museums with a lots of tractors and agricultural heavy equipment back in 1920s. They have a nice kid play area, scavenger games which offer stickers, exploring different areas. The most impressive thing for us to this museum is the volunteering staff who can offer free guided tour, our volunteer, named Lee was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job, who didn’t mind spending long time to talk with our kids on history of caterpillar companies and their innovation.
This museum is worth a visit if you pass Woodland on I-5 north of Sacramento.
A hidden gem. Great staff, great scavenger hunts for kids, lots of awesome tractors and equipment.
Went to visit my friend in Dixon and stumbled across this Museum in Woodland by accident it is a must-see there are items in this Museum that are only one in the world that two older gentlemen that gave us the tour were excellent I praise them for making the museum what it is if you are ever in the area by all means take the time to tour it trust me you will be very pleased.
Very cool place for events and checking out all the neat equipment. Parking is a bit tight although street parking is readily available
